My Gummies - I did the trial and error, you reap the rewards!

I keep them in the fridge for a month or so. I also freeze them. Good for up to about a year, or so they say.

Cool thank you, i had a friend tell me they were only good a month or so… but i was told much much longer.

First harvest and i want to make some mct infused oil but i dont have any of the cool infusing equipment. Is there a simple recipe to make in crockpot? I find lots of crockpot recipes for butter or coconut oil, would you use same for mct? Do you have one to share? I have 2 gallon-sized ziplock bags of prime trim and small bud in freezer. Ill have to dry and decarb…then what? Not too worried about odor.

It’s my understanding that you infuse mct oil the same way as regular coconut oil or butter.
In the crockpot I don’t decarb first. Just let it all (weed, oil, lecithin) simmer on low for 6-8 hours. If you decarb first I think it only takes a couple of hours, maybe less, to infuse.
Hope this helps

@RubysMom I did a batch in a machine but I probably put only 1/2 weed that I needed. So I poured it into a pot & put on simmer Then I put 1/2oz in cheesecloth and added it to pot. So it was about 1/2 oz to one cup oil. I don’t have a time frame, I just winged it. I like Mct bc no flavor & is actually good for you. After straining a few times using cheesecloth & wire mesh strainer. This was before I started working on getting supplies to grow my own. I don’t know the strain. I can stay that oil kicked my ass literally! I fell asleep on my kitchen floor one night bc I couldn’t get to my bed. I had taken way too much not considering the extra weed I added. Most bizarre experience. Yes, I’ve read ppl using crockpot to infuse. You can type in gummies with Mct & it’ll show any discussions about it. I’m sorry I don’t have a recipe. Sometimes just a mad scientist so I haven’t been any help here :face_with_spiral_eyes::metal::v:

What amounts. Do you use weed, oil & lecithin?

I do an ounce of weed per cup of oil, and like a half teaspoon of lecithin. This was the first time I used lecithin and I think I’d use less next time. I think only a tablespoon per gallon of oil I heard somewhere. I just gave a little squeeze of the bottle and about 1/2 tsp came out. Oops. Should’ve not just squeezed it right into the oil the oil certainly works though. Licked the spatula and lost the afternoon :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

She only used 1/2 oz with 2 cups of oil. No wonder mine knocked me on my A$$ :joy:

Yeah your tincture would have been 4 times hers per 1ml probably… :v:
But that would not be way crazy maybe like 21mg THC per 1ml.

I’m a lightweight though. 20 mg puts me in the couch :couch_and_lamp:

I always decarb. Takes 30 minutes in the Levo. Then I pour in the infusing medium (butter, coconut oil, etc.) and infuse for 4:20 at 165 degrees. If I’m especially busy, I let it go for more time. Then dispense into a jar, push out the excess infused oils from the pods, and clean up. The oil/butter is pristine. No plant matter whatsoever.

When I’m cooling it down, I shake the jar every few minutes until it starts to set. Keeps oils from getting those little frog eyes as it hardens. Never a problem. No lecithin needed.

Using @HobbyDobby gummie recipe, about how many 2ml gummies would this make? @TT said 68 gummies in 4ml molds, so should i assume 136?
