The taste comes with the curing. Fresh picked and quick dry has a grass taste and smell.
Okay so it might not be to early to harvest it may just be because of the way I did it I just cut it and hung it up.then trimmed it up then smoked it it smells like straight chronic before I cut it so I don’t know lol @bruinsfan33
@daz49 @bruinsfan33 @Hogmaster @daz49 @Countryboyjvd1971 @M4ur @TokersHaven @Tonyb here are more photos of my girl bag seed these pictures should allow you to see more
Love those trichomes, how far do you let yours go amber
She’s still to young… I see a lot of white pistils, maybe 2-4 weeks.
Thanks bro I thought they where doing pretty good to. And I also thought it may be a bit to early for harvest yet to @M4ur I’ll give it about another 4 weeks or so.
So when your checking your trichomes ,what are you looking for as far as how many amber trichomes are you looking for
They’re turning like a dark orange color @daz49 so I been just waiting for all or almost all to turn that way. I’m not 100% sure on what to look for/wait for.
The more amber the more couch lock as I understand it,i look for between 30-50% amber but if the more long term growers might want to pitch in, it’s a good conversation piece
That’s great to know as I had not a clue about that lol and couch lock is not my type of high exactly lol I like to smoke and do my daily dues not be lazy all day lol
Then I think, if I’m right in saying, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but you should be looking more for, no clear, more white and milky and maybe 30% amber
I have checked many places on Google and seen a fair bit on here about it but definitely Google yourself it’s very interesting and see what we can get started here for you

What’s your understanding of the trichomes and what the colours are and what we should be looking for in your experience
Trichomes are tiny little translucid “mushroom” look alike… It’s where the essential of the cannabinoid are…
Clear trichomes have mostly CBGa , flavinoid and terpenoids in it, it’s the mother of all cannabinoïds and has no psychoactive effects. But great anti-inflamatory and anti-septic potential among other things.
Milky trichomes have THCa, CBDa for the principal and other minors cannabinoids and flavinoid and terpenoids among others things. Milky trichomes offers the peak in potency with a more clear head effects. It’s highly medicinal .
Amber trichomes have THCa, CBDa and CBNa and all the other things previously mention. What is interesting to know is that CBNa is the product of THCa degradation and it’s less potent then THCa and give more “couchlock” effects… It’s highly medicinal too.
So, depends on what kind of effects you’re searching for, you gone a harvest the degree of maturation that correspond.
That’s my comprehension of it…
Did I pass, @daz49, lol

P.s. Trichomes and pistils are 2 different things @Stoner_Cody420 but related. Pistils are the long white hair (generaly white, depends on the phenotype) . Trichomes are those tiny little mushroom look alike that are ON the pistils and leaves buds. It takes a good magnifier, at least 30× , 60-100× is better to see them good.
The “a” at the end of THCa and other cannabinoids means acid and have no psychoactive effects until breaken by heat, unless it’s CBG, CBD or other minors cannabinoids.
Nice looking plants by the way ![]()

You did exceptional @Niala ,3 platinum stars
Woohoo
@daz49
I’ve just taken these from my super silver haze, they are just over 3 weeks into flower so expect mostly clear
And a few other shots
I hope that helps you out @Stoner_Cody420
Trichomes are vessels and there are 2types of Trichomes glandular and non-glandular otherwise good explanation @Niala
@Majiktoker Thanks for the clarification, my friend
. …
It’s really appreciated and it’s gone a go straight in my knowledge bag
Thanks again buddy ![]()
