I would like some input as to suggestions and such. I only have one plant going at this time and it seems like it has taken forever to get here maybe 10 weeks. I thought I would be much fuller by now and maybe flowering am I expecting to much to soon. It’s indoors with average temp around 72
She does look small for ten weeks. What size pot is she in, and what light are you using? It looks like you’re still watering in a circle. Are you watering to runoff?
I have a combination of lights red hue led and white bright led on 12 hour timers, the pot is approx. 4 gal. I have to say I am nervous about watering my biggest fear is to over water so I think I have watered to run off maybe twice. as you can tell this is my living room not a tent. She is about 20 inches tall
Ok, I think there are a couple of things going on. First, you really need to water to runoff every time you water. The bottom roots aren’t getting wet and that will slow down her growth. Once a plant is as big as yours you need to make sure the soil is saturated so all the roots get water and nutes.
Second, having her in your living room rather than a tent will not help the lights because they have nothing to reflect off of back onto the plant. It also looks like you don’t have enough wattage of lighting to grow a nice big, bushy plant. I suggest you get a better light for her.
Ok I will look into better lights just as a information note the red lights are the only lights on when these pics were taken I will post a picture with the white lights on also. I know a grow tent would be better just not sure I can convince my wife to let me put one in the living room, because the basement gets chilly and right now its in the 50’s down there
I have a 2x2 tent in my master bedroom, lol, my husband is not thrilled. You can work with temps in the 50s. Once you get lights on it raises the temps considerably. Also a small heat mart would help.
Yeah, you definitely don’t have enough light. You need 50 watts (real watts coming from the wall) per square foot for proper growth of an MJ plant.
UGH always something I am on disability and money is so damn tight its crazy, I am just trying to get some relief from my everyday pain
Oh, I’m sorry. I know this hobby can really drain the bank, but there are some things you just can’t do without, like good lighting. Have you considered putting her outside for light?
Its hard to put her outside this time of year, today its overcast and about 60 outside
60°F isn’t so bad, but the overcast doesn’t help. These plants can live happily at 60° though, in fact, they get very pretty colors at that temp. Light is more important than temp.
put the lights closer if you cant get larger lights
