DLI is at 16 with the light at its current height. Going to leave it alone since week two starts tomorrow.
No worries on stress, set the lighting by the chart provided by @Bonjoyle and you’ll do great
Very slow to no growth up top. Today is day 11. Hoping she is just laying down her roots and I will see a lot more action over the next five days. I’ve been watering daily because the coco seems to be drying out. Half a shot glass in the morning and the other half about 3 hours before lights out. Looks strong but small for almost two weeks?
The coco and perlite I used was pre-buffered with calcium. After reading more on coco grows, I bought some nutes but am not sure if they will be ok.
What’s the temps and RH in the grow space Growmie? Are you planning an organic grow with top dressing those nutrients? Tiny seedling in a large pot makes the watering habits a little more difficult than a small container like a solo cup. Increase the water to 1/2 a solo cup and water a ring about 2-4” from the tiny base stem to promote root growth. I would recommend this every other day. I would recommend jacks 321 for nutrients, liquid feed is faster and more control
Temp is at 73 and rh is around 60. I did plan on top dressing with nutes. I bought the bag above after reading that a coco grow need nutes pretty early on. During the day I leave the dome off, about an hour before lights out I put the dome back on for the night. Just watered two shot glasses worth yesterday, coco was looking very dry. Ph is at 6.2. Will increase to half a solo cup when I water tomorrow. Thanks @OGIncognito
Temps are little low for seedlings to strive, I would recommend getting that up to 78-85, keep the dome misted removing periodically for fresh air and to remist. Keep in mind dry amendments will take approximately 2 weeks to become available for the roots to absorb. Use the dome as a guide for watering around the base of the seedling
Does the purple stem indicate a deficiency?
No, that’s normal for seedlings. In older plants it can indicate some stress. I get this on 1 or 2 plants every grow
i always like to see when success is made, especially on the first time. its an amazing feeling, too bad we can only experience it once
Every day is a learning experience. If I have a healthy plant by flower I will call my first grow a success. Obviously I want to yield as much as I can, but as long as I get something out of my first grow I’ll be satisfied.
Did I fry her with nutes?

She is still a little young for nutes…looks ok though.
I was worried the slow growth was due to the coco not having any nutrients. I know it’s going to be a challenge being my first grow. I see people with three or four nodes 20 days in.
What’s the temps and RH in the grow space
Temps are 79 during the day and around 70 at lights out. Rh is around 65, have the humidifier cranked.
i would and have with all my plants personally, start using nutes at this point.
jacks full strength is what i use at around this point, once that first set of leaves is up an kickin.
i found out you gotta be careful dumpin water in the pot tho at that small cuz it doesn’t have a good support where the roots are so it could fall over easy when watering. but i just hold it still lol until the water drains out.
how is this plant lately @440slum ?
Day 27 and she is looking bigger and stronger. I’d still say I’m about 5 days behind where I should be. That’s ok though, this first run is just to get my feet wet. Been adding a teaspoon of the down to earth 4-4-4 every morning when watering. Also added the appropriate amount of cal mag to my water jug.
holy moly, that’s almost a month old already?
did you plant it in to that pot, or transplant really early?
are you making sure it’s waterings and nutrition schedule are plentiful? that is under the impression that ur using coco.
look up Jack’s Nutrients. Jack’s 321 schedule. i assure you, it will be very helpful as far as Nutrients go, and also get much faster and more vigorous growth when you have the proper nutrition to provide
