My first grow ever, successful germination!

She broke ground this morning and it’s a great feeling!! Of course she came up with a helmet. Should I try and remove or just ride it out? Seems to be handling it on her own since I first checked this morning.

Good morning and Congratulations :v::blush:
As far as the helmet goes you can put a drop of water on it and very gently remove it. I use the edge of tweezers to gently very gently slip it off. Good luck and happy Growing.

Great job!! Welcome to the addiction! It’s a downhill but upwards battle! You’re gonna love it!

Looks like you’re running coco? Is this correct?
If you’re running coco don’t worry about overwatering, coco is much more forgiving.

Make sure you are following coco rules and not soil.

Thank you for the knowledge :fire:. I’ve been using bottled water up until this point. My ph meter is on the way!

You will definitely want a good ph meter for coco! No way around that, probably want a tds meter too. For testing your input and test your runoff.
Coco is like hydro, the plant will only get what you give it, it gives you a lot of control, just need to know how to control it. You can always tag me if you have questions. @Autos-only

@Autos-only I’ve been running a 24/0 light schedule since I put her in the coco on Wednesday. Mainly because I’m worried about my light strength. I have my spider farmer sf1000d coming on Tuesday. Should I switch to 18/6? Here’s the link to the light I’m running now.

I would probably leave it on 24H until you get the new light.

Temps and humidity been good?

Yup, everything is good on that end. I left the humidity dome on all day after she broke ground yesterday morning but removed it this morning. Wanted her to feel that air and breath a bit.

She is a week old tomorrow!! Finally got my spider farmer led hung. Wanted to switch to a 18/6 light schedule now that I have a stronger light in place. Will I stress her by doing this? @Autos-only @OGIncognito

Are you aware of DLI yet? Gonna post both charts for DLI for Autos and Photos.

Good luck and good growing, welcome to the crazy club!!

Awesome thank you for that. I downloaded the Photone app and have been using that. I checked the ppfd with that and with the spider farmer led, its around 280. I will switch to DLI and check again.
