Dbrn32 definitely the lights guy, good advice about heat on hand tricks, worked fine with HPS lights, not so much with LEDs, not an issue with those lights, but bigger can cause light bleaching from too many photons on leaf surface. Here’s where your DLI reading can help.

Thank you for your expertise. To be clear, there are two plants in the tent, and someone said a single light was fine for veg but would not be enough for two plants during flower, which can start any time. So, I added the 2nd light…should I turn it down or off?

Yes!! And I’m living proof you have have to much light intensity and it will bleach the tops closest to the light. But if you keep the proper distance you shouldn’t have that problem. You will know you have light bleaching. The buds will look like cotton on the very top of the buds closest to the light. And those buds are no good the thc has been fried.

The difference between LSD auto and Girlscout Cookie auto is way more than I expected. The LSD auto (on the left in the photo) has more canopy, more leaves, more bud sites, etc. The GSC looks larger because it’s so spread out between nodes. The LSD plant is so dense!

Does this mean I’m officially in flower, or is this still veg? Week 4. I wanted small plants, but these seem very small compared to photos I’ve seen of the same LSD auto plants. None of my leaves are larger than 2 inches across.

Spa day. I’m a stupid person so I am ignoring everyone’s warnings about putting the plants outside. It just seems like there’s so much free light outside, and it’s much stronger and consistent so I can’t resist the urge.
It’s pretty easy to see the difference. I had a variegated GSC. Every leaf was multi-colored. After the 3rd day in the sunlight, nearly all variegation is gone!

Nothing stupid about this. Only you know your setup. 
It’s a bad idea to do this if you have other plants inside and you risk cross-contamination with whatever bugs or unpleasentness your planties might encounter outside…
But if you only have those two plants then it’s a wonderful idea! (imo)… no contamination and more lights for the planties!

Both plants are well into flower now. Should I release the apical meristem, or is it ok to keep it staked at the same height as the rest of the canopy? I have released all other LST stakes except for stakes that hold a leaf or stem to the left or right.
