I searched apps and thrift stores for a wardrobe and cabinets, but nothing fit the size I wanted. My girl and I built this cabinet under a tree in the Lowe’s parking lot. Wood glue and finish screws. Measured from memory and cut with a circular saw. The thing almost blew away when we got the sides on. Drove it home and got it to the third floor and set in place. Had to drive off-site to cut more pieces, come back and fit… It was a process. Cost was more than I wanted from lumber and screws, about $160. Still need to put a handle and latch on, weather seal the door, caulk and paint. I also want some sort of exhaust cover that won’t burn up my inline fan. Threw a tarp in the base and some windshield reflectors on the walls. I am using a vent under the base and up under the fan shelf… Takes up a lot of room though.HLG 100 rSpec, and a 4" AC Infinity. I had three plants in there until I killed my Bubblegum pulling too hard at the topping split (Probably best that happened). What do you think? What improvements would you make?

Unfortunately I sprouted these girls before I had a space for them, so it’s like a 5 hour rush job to get here. I want to paint it inside with some gloss white, but need a paint that will not off gas for too long. Looking into that after I dry the ladies and start my big move.

Nice! I forgot about humidity concerns with flat vs. gloss. So is there a specific mylar kit, or is it just a matter of cheap emergency blankets?
@Grayman I use the flat white in my room so haven’t really researched the Mylar much.
It usually comes in rolls I believe and has a smoother surface. Different than the space blankets. Much thicker and more durable.

What size floor? Water heater spill resevoir? Home Depot has plastic floor pans.
24x30, but this was the cheapest way I could get water tight, especially since the intake venting is through the floor. Maybe I’ll coat it in red guard or use a shower pan liner in the future. If I planned for a pan, that would have been cool though, for sure.
Plenty of FLEX SEAL strip material from a single roll will supplement nicely.

you can buy mylar sheeting on amazon but i have read that white paint is just as reflective and will eliminate the problem of bugs and moisture behind the sheeting.
If you go with white, you probably want to go with flat white. Flat white has softer & more even dispersion than gloss white. Reflective mylar can have the same reflective ‘hot spot’ problems as gloss white, but generally it has higher reflectivity than flat white. I think I’ve seen dimpled mylar/ other silver material to help with more even dispersion, but I’ll go with flat white & give up the 5% loss in reflectivity vs mylar (whatever it is, it’s not much), because I don’t want to work in front of mylar. Flat white usually does OK if you lay down two coats of latex sealing primer, & then two coats of flat white ceiling paint. If you don’t like it, you can always install mylar over it.
