I’m running across the same issue but late in flower. Started happening when I started adding calmag and indtroduced the QB. Highly doubt it could be the calmag so I think I’m scorching them with the QB and just reduced to 60% power. Mine don’t have a lot of time to recover but yours probably do.
Wish you tested your regular water TDS in (if it’s tap water it should be the same going in every time) and git PH & TDS run off samples during waterings as its just as important as feeding if not more.
I just got my QB so I don’t know how powerful they truly are but I would entertain @BobbyDigital thoughts
, looks like some light burn pictures I see and looks like some nitrogen deficiencie pictures. I noticed in your last post the tops of the leafs look a bit like nitrogen deficiencie… Maybe that 1 part grow is not enough it wants to grow more? Not sure To be honest but that’s what I can see
Checked the PH meter this morning just in case something went crazy during last feeding. That’s when ALOT of yellow/brown popped up afterwards.
Right on the money
Guess I will do a flush again
Hmm… my QB light has been in there a while. I’ve had some yellow and brown leaves recently, but something happened right after this last feeding… a BUNCH popped up.
If this plant survives through harvest … I’m gonna set it on fire for all the stress it’s put me through!
Is the new growth affected? New growth above looks ok although on the yellow side. I’m just curious because I’m feeling your frustration and would also like to know what the deal is. Old growth issues may have been due to previous conditions that you have now corrected?? Just a thought.
I think everything has been affected since this last feeding. Something bizarre and unusual is going on I think. I have read read and read again to try to have a successful grow. The Temp, RH, PH, air circulation/flow, GOOD light, all good. PPMs are a little high but shouldn’t cause this crap. I wonder what’s the chances I have a bad nute? I dunno, I’m grasping at this point for ideas.
@MoneyPit I’ve re-read through your journal and I am suspicious that you are dealing with a nutrient overload. Your PPM’s have been high on and off. Have you tried just pH’ed water and checking the runoff PPM for several waterings in a row? I am wondering if getting it down to 1000ish and then working your way back up would help. Guessing you don’t have much grow time left to correct things. After reading back through I’m paranoid as my grow is about a month behind yours which looks like about when your issues started… Keep the faith. I’m rooting for you.
Day 28 since 12/12 flip
Decided to give a tap only watering. 3 qts. PH 7.1 PPM 360 going in.
1st runoff was PH 6.5 PPM 2470?? WTF? How/why did it jump from 1750 to 2470 runoff with only tap and CalMag added? I quickly grabbed the Sledgehammer and gave a gallon of tap with 10 ml Sledgehammer.
After Sledgehammer, PH 6.3 PPM 700
Sledgehammer flush and PH goes from 6.5 to 6.3. I don’t get it. PH going lower again
Damn, we can’t edit our post anymore after 5 minutes?
First flush tells us that there was a nutrient build up correct? You got that lowered for now. What was the pH of the Sledgehammer H2O mixture going in before the flush? Also, 6.5 to 6.3 are both in the right range so I wouldn’t worry about it. I’m a newbie as well but I think you’re on the right track. I think a little rest and recovery for her should tell the tale. Out of curiosity, at what rate were you feeding the nutes relative to the recommendations on their chart? I see many that feed at 25-50% of recommended rate. I mainly ask because I will have to start feeding my girls soon.
Yup, nutrient overload, but dunno why it jumped up from last feeding.
Didn’t bother checking PH/PPM of sledgehammer mix since I was flushing.
I started at 50% feed rate and recently went to 100 %.
