Cool, welcome! This blog is free entertainment. And worth every penny!

Yeah, the snow and rain has been great for my yard, but these little plants are begging for some sun and fun.

What are you growing this year?

April 17th, 2020 - the Coronavirus lockdown continues.

California Dream seeds from ILGM 100% germination this time.

I put them in the blue Solo cups:

…and I raised the LED back up to the ceiling and lowered the cmh down to grow height. These lights are still rigged on pullys from back when I used to grow in here. The plants might like the ceramic metal halide better; It gives off a fuller spectrum of light than the LED.

April 19th, or as I like to call it: “420’s Eve”

It’s time for my morning wake-n-bake.

.

The plants are looking pretty healthy. I’m not seeing anything that needs to be fixed or adjusted.

Well, I left the plants out in real sun for about 3 days…mistake.

  1. Light cycle is short this time of year: plants started trying to switch over to bloom. Not good. FIX: using cmh light to extend light cycle to 13.5 hours.

  2. Set plants on an iron outdoor table: table got hot in the sun and heated up the roots of the plants. Not good. FIX: setting the plants on the ground from now on.

Just water and sun since last post. Today I am transplanting into 5 gallon smart pots. Out of the 12 plants that made it to this stage, I am keeping 5, giving 4 to my neighbor, and I’m giving
the last 3 to a lady who used to give me free weed all the time.

Getting ready to roll these over to the neighbor.

Kept 5 plants for myself and gave away the rest. Just water and sunshine since the last post. Plants are big enough for another lollypopping: so I cut off the lowest branches that had leaves touching the pot and/or growth medium. This helps cut down on pests and disease.
