Mountain girls growing journal

Hi everyone
I am a noob to this site
But not to growing
Grown 20 years outside
First and every crop sinsemilla
I studied botany books
This is way better than books
I currently grow outside in high alpine dessert mountain range
My growing is simple
All organic Organic soil bat guano mixed in
Use two nutes one for veg one for bloom
Molasses sometimes in bloom for bud density
Never used pesticides, just two fingers lol
Test ph often and water when no rain as needed
Screened in garden
With skylight for rain and screened for heavy rain of hail

Life’s been a little kinder and I could afford seeds for first time ever
Got hero pack Ilgm and a blue dream clone
I have 3 of 3 nice Luke Skywalker
2 black widows
1 mutant black widow
1 of 3 seeds is good Bruce banner
Just topped and fim most of them
I shall post last years harvest
My last year harvest not as bountiful, severe heat and drought and beat snow on the ground for two days before harvest
The early snow killed a lot of grows here but I battered down the hatches, put a simple grow bulb in there for heat, and they were cool
They were seeds from a friend out of a bud of Astro dog
So I am super grateful to have some killer strains and put my green thumb to test
Thank you all
Carey

Welcome to the best forum on growing cannabis!

I’m just down the road from you: Colorado Springs (Black Forest) and learning how to grow at 7,000 feet. I will have to remain an indoor grower as the HOA does not allow outside grows here (of course).

Literally down the road
My HOA does allow it luckily
Off grid in Fremont county
By Phantom Canyon
My neighbor starting first outdoor grow commercially by a family member from Denver
Excited to see the field grow
So this is going to be a cool new grow year
Thank you for reaching out!

Also I am going to put my ultimate dream out into the universe
I would love to become a cannabis farmer full time
My neighbor is leasing space to family from Denver for an outside commercial grow about an acre
I would love to do the same
I have 35 acres and my HOA allows it
I would like to lease my land for a grow next year and perhaps eventually do it myself
It’s a huge leap and 30 year old dream
The end❤️

Hello from your neighbor up the road. Great grow and especially the mutant!

I grow indoor but put three girls outdoors this year. I have my “cover” crops of mammoth sunflowers and corn planted. In the mean time I picked up a couple of sprigs of artificial sunflowers and put those beside the girls.

Although legal, our property backs to open space and a walking path and the more conservative members of the community may take offense. Not an HOA but a lot of anonymous complainers.

I love you are using the mammoth sunflowers and artificial flowers for camouflage
I have used tomatoes in the past
I always have a tomato in the garden too
They seem to love to coexist together
Cool we are right down the road from each other
I can feel the love on here
What does your girls look like?

I am glad to hear that tomatoes are friends! We are actually filled all four beds this year with vegetables and herbs.

Here are the outdoor girls - two gorilla glues. They just went into pots yesterday. I did not want to put them in ground in case they have to be moved when visitors stop by. I probably should have spray painted the pots white to keep the heat down…next year - this year is a learning experience.

Here is my mutant Skywalker OG, fondly referred to as “Gary 2.0 the mutant cyborg snail”. She went into flower when I was on travel and then reveged. She got kicked out of the tent, trimmed heavily and is outside now - still throwing out single leaves.

I look forward to watching your grow - I know I will learn a lot from you.
