Anyone gone straight from clipping clone, into small rockwool, and straight 12 hours of light for the duration? No reveg Hoping for small, single bud plants. I have some I put in 4 and 6 inch Grodan recently, and just cut 15 more to practice my cloning. Using recycled 6 inch blocks to cut circular plugs that fit inside of a Dixie Cup with holes in bottom to drain excess. The plugs fit snugly into hole in larger rockwool blocks. Then ya can pop 'em out of the Dixie Cup and check on the root progress. Best thing is each cup is individually labeled so I don’t mix up which strain it is.

I have done something similar in the past , but I used normal clones from a sativa and just trimmed anything that was going to be a branch off , so I ended up with 12" to 18" colas and they were only in pots a lil bit bigger than solo cups in a 2’ x 2’ space with a tray that was basically a flood and drain thing… without the drain … lol
And the media was soil … was feeding and watering 3 times a day in those lil containers… I was also using Cfls for this experiment… worked like a charm…

I have to say that I like the idea, but agree that more like what @peachfuzz described would probably be better.
The monster cropped clones will take longer to root, which will probably jam up the whole process a little. You would probably be a little more successful if you let the revert back to veg and root, then gave them a week or two to grow some.

I have some I started this way, half were rooted in 2 weeks, half in 3 weeks. It was kinda cool pulling rockwool out of cup and see root progress. What I really want is to pack a dozen into 27 gallon res and grow 12 giant buds out of it. Put plugs straight in a 2 inch netpot

Quick update. LSD and Jack Herer have not survived after 9 days. Good news = GoldLeaf clones have come roaring into first place with both being only ones showing their roots out of 15 I started with.

How big is the tote, 12 gallon? I like how you set it up for clones or plants.
27 gal res with attached chilling bucket. Has 15 smaller 2 inch holes and 6 of the larger 3 1/2 inch. LOL. I could get 21 plants at a time in it

I agree with @dbrn32 … you want them to revert back to veg… and honestly your defeating the purpose… monster clones are for big plants… what you want will work better with clones from a strong sativa mother…

well it is too late now, lol. I have no veg area to revert them, everything in flower so they are stuck at 12/12 Not expecting much from them but the fun of growing

Ya I tried to post this the other day… but the sight was having problems… my post was still waiting to send… go figure… lol
These clones have their roots bustin out after 48 hours in new rdwc. Think I will grow to completion in the same 2 inch netpot. (Dang site won’t load my pics again)

Just harvested and cleaned grow room. I pretty much just watered the clones once in last few weeks in rockwool. The ones I put in rdwc were ignored also. They all were at 12/12 entire month. They kinda hibernated, not growing or dying. I kept the rockwool as they were, switched the rdwc clones into cloth pots with Happy frog. So I now have 19 monster cropped gals that I will now switch back to 24 hours light and see if I can reveg them.

Rockwool clones growing very slowly. The ones I moved into soil haven’t gotten taller at all. They have been on 24 hr light close to two weeks. Soil clones only 2 inches or so tall. I just found 1 seed in the gold leaf plant/bud. Can senescence create a viable seed?
Plants that are over flowered will form seeds, its called rodalization(spelling).
