So i decided to give monster cropping a try. I took 4 OG Kush and 4 Girl Scout Cookie clones from plants that have flowered for 21 days. After cutting, i soaking in cup of water with Pro-Mix Root booster i recently bought to try.
I left cutting to soak in a mix of 1 litre of water to 4ml of root booster for a few hours. Had things to do so let soak longer than the suggested minimum of 30min.
Next I dipped 2 of each strain into rooting liquid/gel and the other 2 of each strain into #2 stim root powder. After treating with the hormones they went into my diy clone bubbler to let them do thier thing.
Enjoy your grow! Good luck. I didn’t take a monster crop this last time but I have in the past and they are a ton of fun. Sometimes they grow a little wonky but man you get a nice yield. Have a nice afternoon
Thanks for the comments. @Midwestnewbie I kind of followed @ktreez420 DIY Bubbler thread. I made a smaller version. I used a black food container. I used 3 4inch air stones, a small fish tank pump, 2inch neoprene discs, some tubing and gromets.
I tested it with regular clones, taken in veg. It worked well. I would reccomend a bigger air pump and not a clear lid. I reved clones at 15 days and put in soil. I have blacked out my lid this time amd i am trying the pro-mix root booster. Used just the rooting powder the 1st time also. I plan on addin more air to mine very soon. Hope this helps but check out ktreez420 thread for a better list for parts and a bigger version.
Forgot to mention, I also made the cuts in neoprene discs abit longer so I am able to place 2 clones in each. I only made 5 spaces because my hydro shop only had those 5 discs left lol I plan to add a 6th spot and make a bigger bubbler down the road too.
@Midwestnewbie blacking out top keeps light from root zone. I had roots form for where the stem was enclosed by the neoprene disc first when i did my veg clones. So I figured why not black it out, makes sense too because roots dont like the light.
Thank you for the conversation in posting about those bubblers. If you get a chance or anyone on here look up some of the roots that people get started on these clones from these bubblers. They’re amazing. I’d like to build one myself one day. I’m going to bookmark this so thank you. Right now I have to worry about get better at my veg through flower phase haha have a good afternoon all
Thank you very much! I appreciate that. I thought that was funny that a little cake showed up.
I can testify that in the one year since I’ve joined this website and about one year of being a voyeur before joining, thanks to this website, the members, and the staff each one of my grows has gotten a little bit better each time. So to anyone out there who’s on the fence about joining the Forum all I can say is I regret not doing it sooner. Thanks again for the shout out, @Zombo. Have a good day
I know! Isn’t it awesome? Like I said before I wish I had found this earlier. And then I wish I didn’t wait so long to join. The seeds from this company and website are awesome too! All around great community and people. Have a nice afternoon
That’s awesome, glad its some useful info. and yes, seeing some of the others using bubblers and seeing the results is why I made one also. but as mentioned before, credit to @ktreez420 for his great diy bubbler thread. I got me to build one rite after seeing his
Happy Growing
Oh for sure. @ktreez420 did awesome. I’m definitely keeping this thread for future. It’s something I would love to try and being able to make it myself would be pretty sweet. Have a nice morning
I just returned from getting a bigger air pump to get more bubbles going. It has much more bubbles in there now. so far they are still doing ok.
keeping temps around 80F and humidity is 95-100% I am going to do fresh water change every 3-5 days this time, changed once a week on my first trial of bubbler.
@peachfuzz i plan to make a bigger one like urs down the road, restricted on space at the moment. Like the 5 gal bucket idea, what do u use as humidity dome?
