MO_Grows Autos Round 2

Here is the other dilemma. Power for lights, lol. I just got to investigating the situation further. Looks like I only have 2 x 15 amp circuits in the entire basement. I have to figure out what plugs are on what circuit and run a heavy gauge extension chord attached to a good surge protector for now.

This is all in relation to the new setup of course.

I don’t know the numbers off hand but these lights only draw like 5 or 6 amps they are very efficient

Thanks bro, I will have to look mine up. I’m just afraid with the heaters and dehumidifier running I’m going to be pushing the limit. Time to add some amps.

It’s not like I will have both lights full go at the same time anyway…or will I? There will probably be a little overlap.

Max amps is 6.9 on the lights. Very efficient like you said @MeEasy . The heaters are max 12.5 themselves. More than the lights but I never run them on high. Looks like I am going to need a meter to gauge what I’m really pulling.

Heaters and ac use a lot of electricity not good efficiency there lol…

The light is on its way! After a few stops in NM, TX & KS

This is how the prefilter ended up. I rigged up a new way to hang it to make it easier to hang. I hate messing with the filter with my light up. I need to figure out a better place to put it but it’s gotta be in the tent. I’m exhausting outside not in the house because even though it’s filtered, it still smells a little. It’s up now though.

My tent and the filters I buy come with straps and I strap it to one of the side top bars I have a fan on the ceiling that blows over the top of my light. This is the pic I took the other day before I replaced the cables with chains
Edit = lol I looked at the pic I actually have ratchet rope on the filter in the 4x4 but see the straps, in the other tents I have them wrapped around the pole and filter without the r.ropes

I had straps but the teeth weren’t holding very well. It was slipping. I have more but I figured what the heck with the rope. I adjusted it so it’s attached to both loops instead of 1 which leveled it out a little. I’m just afraid I’m going to mess up the light every time I’m working up there. Problem is it’s 8’ to reach the top, lol.

I like your macgyver rope it looks easier with the single carabiner than the way mine is and my tents are only 6’.5" tall and 6’ on the 2x4s… it’s pretty easy in the 2x4s because I can do it without even getting in them but like you it’s a pain in the 4x4 with the light in there. I’m pretty sure that’s why I put the r.ropes so like you again it’s just undoing the carabiners. I found a pic of one of the 2x4s

It definitely made it a little easier with one attachment point. Those straps were making me :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:. I just noticed your surge protector in the tent. I need to put one in mine. I still have some tuning of the tent to do. How long do your filters last you?

If you mean the one in the 4x4 it’s not ot an actual surge protector just a dollar store cheapy the ol lady got me it’s just running the three little fans, it is plugged into a surge protector though I like it just to add plugs inside there because it doesn’t have any switches with lights in them… nothing to tape up, I wouldn’t run much power through it it’s pretty flimsy… the ones in the 2x4s are timers with half n half timer always on plugs

I should just run a couple of small extension chords with extra plugs on the end. I have a good surge protector, I just need more plus in the tent to, lol.

It’s feeding time…or just watering since I am growing with the Earth Dust and it’s low maintenance just like I like my women :rofl::joy: (I wish) . I’m sure I’m not the easiest to maintain either.

I was thinking about this the other day, even though you have the boost down in the bottom of your soil I would top dress them with just a tiny amount of boost just to have some up top as well. Personally I would do just 1 tbs of boost per gallon of soil at the 30 days when I would normally feed my autos… obviously you don’t have to I’m just saying what I would do

I have been contemplating the same thing in my head. I’m glad you said that!

It just adds new life to the top and a little extra food for the life that is already there. I don’t know if you have looked at the ingredients but it has everything you would use to make a tea and then some

I have read the ingredients. There is a lot of stuff in them for sure. I actually read the ingredients again today because I gave away a couple of bags to a grow buddy. I’m getting him hooked….I feel like an Earth Dust dealer :rofl::joy:. Thanks again for getting me hooked!
