Missouri Marijuana laws

So awhile back was told 6 mature flowering, 6 14” veg 6 under 14” clones. Been trying to find up to date Missouri Marijuana cultivation laws and I keep getting two different answers

So anyone from Missouri know the current law?

Go by at your state website, or you can call or email a local rep. Being legal, there should have no problem simply asking them.

Yeah I am going to call on Monday just didn’t know if anyone here from Missouri was better informed with up to date laws and regulations now that Missouri is rec. an not just medical. I have my medical license both patient and cultivator. Just trying to keep up with the most current laws is hard to do it seems.

Go to the official source.

What was the question exactly?

6 plants in flower, 6 in veg over 14" and 6 clones under 14 for a single licensed cultivator.
If two licensed cultivators grow in the same space then its 12-12-12

It seems that to grow twelve flowering plants there has to be two licenses. I have a medical card and a cultivator permit. My wife is listed under my caregiver card. But I still can only grow 6 flowering because I only hold a single cultivating permit.
But , I can only fit 2 or 3 flowering plants in my tent anyway and get a pound per harvest. I have piles of past grows in stock so I don’t need more plants. If it were legal to sell the excess then 12 plants would be great, but we cant legally sell it. Now that recreational is legal we can gift it, but no money may exchange hands.

So its
One permit 6-6-6
Two permits 12-12-12
Two permits and a caregiver patient 18-18-18

But then I just found this on their website…
So now even I am confused

I am going to email them and ask about this.

Yes thank you please let me know. Me and my fiancé both grow in same facility. She will also become a caregiver for her mother as I will also become a caregiver for my father

So the answer came quickly but is of no help at all. Here it is…

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for contacting the Division of Cannabis Regulation.

When two patients share a room, no other patients can be in that room but can be in a different room at the same address.

A caregiver can cultivate for all six patients as long they are not growing.

Provisions for the regulation of Missouri cannabis are within Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution and the rules in 19 CSR 30-95. You can find Article XIV, complete rules, answers to frequently asked questions, and other information regarding the Cannabis Regulation by visiting our website at https://cannabis.mo.gov.

If you have any further questions or need clarification, you can reply to this email, or call us toll-free at 866-219-0165. We’re available to take calls Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00am-3:00pm.

So basically told me to go read the rules. Which are very ambiguous
I can interpret them to say 24 plants total and 24 plants per patient.
The stuff about sharing a room I did not even ask about.
Calling may be the only way to find out. The email I got was nothing but a cut and paste reply. It had stuff for another person in it with totally different id numbers attached to it.

Thanks kinda what I got from that post too. But I also read on Missouri site that 1 caregiver can only have 3 patients lol Missouri doesn’t even know it’s own laws :joy:

So, question. As long as the plant is not over 14 inches tall… doesnt give specific measurements wide… so can you manifold a plant and train it to however wide you want it, then flower?

I knew nothing of these laws but read contract data all the time, and i think you are spot on with this. Getting to the 24/24/24 seems tricky though.

As otherwise pointed out here, exceeding 12/12/12 is more than the typical member here is going to do. Having the additional veg count would allow you to have a huge canopy without exceeding plant counts. Harvest 2 plants every week and replace with 2 plants every week. This gives you roughly 6 weeks veg time from roughly 14" tall plants. You could probably fill a 50 ft² flower room pretty easily if you wanted. I had 18 ft² canopy that would produce +/- 400 grams per month. And that was with 2014 lighting tech and a modest budget.

yes, and the fact that the official reply from the government was “read the law yourself” was telling. This shouldnt be this convoluted. But for me its not an issue. I cant fit more than 2 to 4 plants each grow depending on how long they veg. This round is 2 blue dream.

I hear you. All things considered i think you members in Missouri are in pretty good shape. We’re right next door with much more liberal politics, and our legislation isn’t that good. You can by recreational weed but not grow it. If you have a medical card can grow 5 plants with max of 10 plants per household with 2 approved medical users. No considerations given to additional plants in veg or clones/seedlings.

In short, despite not being as recreational friendly your legislation is pretty fair and reasonable.

Where did you hear 10 plants for Missouri? It’s 6/6/6 and only two cultivars per household with approved cultivation licenses. Each cultivator can also be a caregiver to 3 people meaning each cultivator can have max 24/24/24 that’s including the 3 patients and the grower assuming all patients have licenses.

He is talking about his states medical laws, not Missouri

I will say this…
Considering what I have learned here about growing, I can make a single plant produce a pound of dried product now so I don’t care about how many are actually allowed. Could be a thousand but I only need a couple.

:confused:And Virginia is 4… As in F. O. U. R total.

I’m in Virginia. No worries about the limit of four plants. Two plants fit best in my 2x4 tent. So I start four seeds and cull two. And the consequences of more than four are light: “For possession of more than four marijuana plants but no more than 10 marijuana plants, (i) a civil penalty of $250 for a first offense.” And the harvest from two plants are way more than I can use and give away. I’m about to throw away 12 oz of lackluster flower from last July just to free up the quart mason jars.
