Milk and Molasses (Mcsketcher's eternal grow)

Hello all, I’m Matt. This is my 4th grow. Fifth grow is going on as well. I stagger because we can only have 4 plants going legally at one time here. The 4th grow is LA Confidential. The 5th is godfather og and rainbow haze. Below is the LA as of tonight. She is in 13-14 gallons of soil and her blooms are 22 days old. She has 6-7 weeks left to go

As the title suggests I have started giving my plants milk, molasses and barley syrup as just a little extra in addition to the rest of the feeding regimen. I’ve seen a lot of people scoff at the notion of using milk. Try it… the results are visible pretty quick. I don’t use it as a foliar spray. I pour it around the plant. Then I water with 0-0-17, fulvic acid, ascorbic acid, hormex and water to drive it into the root zone. I haven’t fed any of my plants anything that I’ve seen them react that quickly to.

So I gave both these plants a cup of milk apiece tonight before lights out. Also a tbsp molasses and tbsp barley syrup. Pictures below… Let’s see what they look like in the morning!!! I have earlier photos of visible results but let’s start with tonight.

The way they look right now is still kind of perky. When I first gave them milk they looked like this before the milk.

Leaves were healthy but not perky

22 hours later…

The leaves grew about 25% over the course of the day. You could see the results in just a couple of hours though. Milk works… That’s all I can say. Molasses and barley extract too. But… I’ve been giving my plants both and I’ve never had that dramatic a growth without the milk

What kind of milk?

Final plant in the works… Also a godfather og. I have her in a 3 gallon bag and moved her to 12/12 at 3 weeks old. Just to see what happens. I’m only allowing her 2 colas.

But yeah, I juiced her with milk too… Look at her reach for the sky!!!

Is it minerals or enzymes or feeding the soil biome?

I got simply organic 2% primarily because the expiration date is like a month and half from now

Thank you - please don’t think me unkind if I ask questions.

I’m not a scientist… I did read each cup of milk has 220 milligrams phosphorus, 340 milligrams potassium, iron, b1, calcium. I can only imagine if one has healthy microbes that milk and molasses would be an easily digested meal… But I’m theorizing. Results are very visible though. I’ll have more pictures in the morning

Is the milk unpasteurized? Like raw milk? Or does it come from cows that don’t get antibiotics or growth hormones? I apologize for the way my mind works. Have you tried the milk, molasses’s and barely syrup each separately or do they work in conjunction?

Just to be clear, I just use milk as a boost. Ive got another feeding regimen in addition too this. I’ve just never seen the plants respond so quickly

Thank you for the clarification! I put unused dairy on our compost pile. Just wondering if I could put it towards a different use.

I know that barley syrup works aka barley extract… It’s the same thing apparently at least for our purposes. I know this because it was an ingredient on the label of my weed bottles in CO. So I looked it up… It’s a thing. Increases yield/ potency 15%

Molasses, also definitely a thing… Sugars and nitrogen… Microbes love the stuff

I remember reading a book as a child about a milk fed pumpkin set in late 1800s or early 1900s. It won the State fair or something and the girl that grew it thought she cheated somehow.

I was already using them… Like I said though not with milk. The difference is visible. I’m probably going to include a little with every watering until I see a reason to stop

Thinking about trying different techniques on the outdoor grow this year.
