Midwestguy's Sour Mango Sherbet Grow Journal Placeholder

I will be breeding this grow and following up with a grow of a new strain, which will be:

Sour mango x mango sherbet

I’ll call it sour mango sherbet. A sour mango sherbet strain already exists, but I can’t find seeds or the lineage anywhere. It’s my best guess at the genealogy of the intended strain.

Seed production will be a short grow. I will flip them at 4 to 5 weeks and will force one of the female plants to produce male pollen with colloidal silver. Total grow time for producing seeds will be 14 to 15 weeks. All plants will be photoperiods.

I’ll then grow out the new strain with a 10 to 12 week veg time. Total grow time will be ~22 weeks. It will be a medical grow so I will harvest at max potency of all cloudy trichomes. I will avoid amber as it may be used during the day, and the CBN content of amber puts me to sleep.

Stay tuned… I’ll try to make the journal an educational one and will start in late-Oct or early-Nov.

It’s going to be difficult to find one of the parent seeds. I found mango sherbet at Seedsman, but I can’t find sour mango anywhere. ILGM unfortunately has neither strain. I’d prefer to grow out ILGM seeds, as I’ve had good experiences with their seeds in the past.

Any suggestions where I might be able to find sour mango seeds?

I’ve got enough seeds to last me past my expiration date, so I hate to buy more, but I really like sour mango sherbet.

Editorial note for those skeptical of the ILGM’s small seeds. I’ve seen a few posts here in the forum with people expressing disappointment with their appearance. They are just fine. The following is a Gorilla Glue from one of those small seeds. She had very large flowers.

The plant looks to be a shade of green that is anemic and too light in the pic, but it is the lighting that created the affect. She was really a nice darker shade of green. I got 14 and a half zips from her, IIRC. She was a heavy eater too. I had to feed her double doses nearly every feeding after she grew up to maintain a good PPM.

Zamnesia sells sour mango from earth witch seeds

however they are out of stock right now and they only sell 10 seeds pack

They don’t ship to the USA yet but they should start within the end of the year

Or here Sour_Mango_however I have no idea who they are and if the genetics are good
And they are out of stock too

It’s not much but I couldn’t find them anywhere else

Thanks so much, @Firstimer1299. I appreciate the effort on your part.

I may not start next month as I had said above. I won’t be starting the grow until I can find the seeds needed. I am going to go ahead and order the mango sherbet from Seedsman today before those are out of stock too.

I appreciate the link, but we aren’t permitted to post links to competitive seed shops here in the ILGM forum since ILGM is a seed seller. Can you please edit out the link?
