I do both machine and hand trim at work. The machines do take some off the top. That being said…how much is up to you as you determine how long to run the machine.
TBH, unless you have more then a lb or two, I wouldnt waste your money. Take the fans, leave the sugar and take em off as you need. Thats what I do anyhow.
