I just realised I may not have my grow light around the right way… does it matter
What do you mean by “around the right way”?
Question is should the control unit be faced towards the front or doesn’t it matter what way it’s hanged thanks
It doesn’t matter. Just be sure that the light is placed such that you have maximum coverage for your plant(s).
Yes Roger that , thanks heaps ![]()
Hi. Not sure what you are growing but I grow autos. Because I don’t need as much intensity; i typically raise the light for more even coverage. This might be unsolicited advice but as an example……my tent is 5 by 5. If I have the light at 12-16 inches above plants I get like 1000 in the middle of the tent and like 600 on the sides and corners. If I raise it to about 24-30 I can get about 750 ppfd to all corners. That’s not on full power.
What I try to do is get the most even coverage I can for the hours my light is on. You would base this on DLI calculations. If you are doing photoperiod plants you would want a higher intensity than the 750 on the canopy but might not be able to cover as large of an area.
Like what Midwestguy said.
The driver and switches (A) can go anywhere. I have mine mounted on the wall to get the extra heat away from my plants. Orientation of those lights can matter a little not a big deal. The Edges with the light bars (B) will give you about 6" wider footprint than the sides the light bars mount to. If you have a dimension in your tent that is wider you would want to use that extra 6". I have 2 of the older version and they are great. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks mate .
Along as I don’t have to turn it around so the control panel is facing forward… but not moving the control panel if that makes sense ? The photo on the manual has it facing a different way like the bars
It doesn’t matter, whatever makes it easy to operate.
Thanks , it’s hard to explain things sometimes, I appreciate your help ![]()
my pleasure, sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know and it can be hard to explain what you don’t know.
Exactly!!! Just want to get everything as good as I can
While that particular detail doesn’t matter. That kind of attention to detail will serve you well.
