Ak47 Autos. A few nights ago I tied some of the taller, more dominant branches away from the base of the plant to allow more light to hit the smaller branches. Was this a good idea? Should it positively or negatively impact the yield? I’ve also been defoliating some leaves that are covering bud sites and do not look healthy as well as cutting off the buds that will never see any light.
Looking good, stay on course doing a good job. I usually stop tying down when in flower. You could tie the 3 taller ones down to level of rest of buds.
If you didn’t lower the light it didn’t do much.
I don’t know about everyone else but I am not a fan of keeping leaf litter in the tent / soil. Provides an easy place for bad things to happen.
Use a separate bin to compost cutting if you want.
Looks like a tent full of buds to me! Tomatoes and peppers too I see?
To answer your question about yield, really this particular training won’t do anything unless it allows you to increase your light intensity. Leveling out your canopy can allow you to drop your light in closer. But that is best done with the help of a light meter in my opinion. (Photone for the iPhone is excellent)
Amen, brother.
I downloaded the Photone app with the full spectrum led. It’s saying the PPFD is anywhere from 600-900, depending on where I have my phone. And yes, starting some vegetables too.
Just downloaded the Photone App on my Galaxy Note.
PPFD, There are 4 lights in my 4x4x8 tent with 8 White Widow Autoflowers. Two Barrina BU 2000 lamps Ranges from 800 to 1000. Kingled King Plus is 800, Spider SF1000D is 700 and a 65watt generic with Samsung diodes is like 565.
Photone is slick.
