First time grower (autoflower, outdoor, do-si-do).
Got a novice neighbor that has a male plant. He wants seeds on his female. Trying to tell him it will kill any yield on his female plant.

He needs to learn about colloidal silver or sodium thiosulfate of he wants seeds. He’s going to end up with a bunch of non-feminised seed, half of which will be male.
I would be torqued off if one of my neighbors insisted on maintaining a male plant anywhere near my outdoor grow.

I heard pollen can travel up to 25 miles on a good wind.
A tent could help as long as you yourself don’t get any on you but if its in the air just opening the tent could let it in…
Hopefully he won’t do it again. I’d almost prefer to buy him some seeds.
Hoping an intake filter on a tent will help.

I would say it would help a lot, especially if you have a filter. I have a buddy that did the same thing. He lives about 2 miles as the crow flies, but I talked him into destroying it before mine were very big.
You could always kill it.
Be a good neighbor and learn using chemical pollination with him I suggest. Win Win and a good growing relationship and friendship could develop. Just me. I hate stress so I avoid it all i can. Already had enough.

The neighbor is a good friend. I’d like to come up with an alternative to having a male plant (other then me buying him some feminized seeds)
Colloidial silver? I dont do it but was suggested here in the thread. Hobbies with friends rocks.
Chalenge him with a friendly wager. If his plant polinates yours he has to trim the whole grow for you. if it doenst polinate your plant you trim his.
Cleaning beautiful buds to recover seeds sucks.
I am still salvaging for seeds.
I’d go pull it up in the middle of the night.
