Its all good. Go slow and practice & learn on your Chocolope. As long as you dont rush it, these plants are pretty forgiving.

Also, checked on the babies after work tonight.
Theyre looking good. New growth looks healthy.
What I find intriguing, is that all of their weird curves and twists are symmetrical. Either mirror image to their opposite side, or like a stamped opposite. Take a look.

Day 9 today!
I know I dont have to update every day…but…it gives me something to do! And I can’t wait to come back and look at it all, later.
So on that note! The babies seem to like their red solo cups, now. I think they’ll really take off, now. They’re already growing fast! They are still a bit wrinkly, but all the new growth looks lovely.

In every pic they look overwatered… start letting them dry out before you water again… 
Yeah, they look nice and healthy. With your “beginner’s unluck” they might all be females LOL, then you’ll really be in a pickle.

Good morning all!
Chocolope is probably 6 hours away from beung moved to soil! Just the sliiiiiightest taproot starting to poke out. I’m giving her a few more hours then I’ll put her in soil. 
The other kids are doing well. I raised the lights another 2 inches, as high as they’ll go until I move the ducting to the outside of the tent.
Im seeing a tiny bit of curling up of the serrated edges on the plants, so I’m worried it’s the light. The temp hi was 79° but it wasnt there very long. Avg is 73°.
One of them also has the tiniest white tip on their leaves. They haven’t gotten nutes, and they’re in a super light soil, so…idk what thats about.

Chocolope is in! Germination took about 36 hours in water. I’m basically just going to leave the other babies alone until Choco pokes up. Maybe I was overwatering them. I don’t know… ugh.

Today is day 12 from breaking soil!
The babies are looking decent, besides one. Its first set of real leaves were all contorted and crispy and dead, so I’m experimenting. I cut off those 2 leaves and I’m gonna see how she does. Im expecting it to die anyway. But we’ll see. Haha.
In other, more exciting news! Today, 12/19, Chocolope 1.0 has hatched from the earth!
I will think of a name soon.
I will transplant the 2 healthiest “random babies” into their forever pots probably tomorrow. Chocolope will need to play some catch-up.
I’ll bring all 3 plants to flower together, and see if either random is female. If they both are, I’ll keep the healthiest! Because I dont want to cramp Chocolope. So only 2 at a time.

Well, I got home from working a double, and decided that there were tons of roots in the solo cups, and I doubted they were going to be happy for much longer. So, I ended up transplanting the best 3, and will transplant Chocolope (henceforth known as Persephone) in about 2 weeks. The 3 Randoms (Kalypso, Klio, and Kalliope) are in 3 gallon plastic pots, and Persephone will be in a 5 gallon fabric pot.
Next grow Im just going to do 2 ILGM seeds so they have plenty of room.

Question! Roughly how much/how often do they need water at this stage? I dont want to overwater. But Im also afraid that instead I’ll parch them!

They only need a minuscule amount of water, like a teaspoon. They look good though, you’re doing great.

Day 14!
Didnt spend much time with the babies yesterday. Worked, then went out to dinner and a movie with my partner and another couple. It was a fun time. I dont get out much because I’m not a fan of people, usually. 
Anywho.
The babies all look great. I think that out of the 3 bag seed babies, I have at least 2 different strains. Two of the plants grew taller faster, and their leaves are a bit more slender than the other shorter plant. Leaves are a little more broad, and it has always been smaller than the rest who were the same height.
But who knows! We never will know, either. Haha. But it’d be nice if I could end up getting 3 strains off this grow! I know that presents it’s own problems, too. But I guess I’ll learn, eh? Lol
Kalliope is the shorter, broader plant. Kalypso is one of the others from the same batch. Persephone is my new baby Chocolope.

Its a crap shoot but Pesephone looks really cute LOL.
The other two look very interesting. Mine are mostly Indica dominant but one of them looks very sativa dom.
They all look very different, Kalliope looks a bit like my mango strain, very broad leaves.

Day 16!
Everything has gone smashingly since I transplanted. They’re all looking great.
My soil was getting hydrophobic last night, so I had to give them a solid watering (and added a half dose of Cal Mag to it) so the soil would actually hold water again. That was no fun. But, they all look beautiful and perky today, so I dont think they minded a good drink!
Very happy so far. Chocolope aka Persephone is doing great. Seems to be slower growing than the others were. Oh well!

Day 18!
Wowwww! These babies grew like crazy in the day we were gone! I checked on them when we got home and I was shocked. Also I can ever soooo slightly now smell them if I straight up sniff their leaves. Lol.
But, I accidentally slightly overwatered them. The top inch felt bone dry so I did one light ring around the pot with the little watering can and then I saw runoff. Soooo… I know they’ll survive, I just gotta give them some time before more water.
