I use DTE humic acids in the off-season to condition the soil. During the season it’s Build A Soil craft blend(also coconut water -Harmless Harvest-and Aloe Vera Flakes)and 420 Ultra Bloom for flowering.
Happy growing!

@Oldguy :wink: tagging you in!

Anyone use living so with autopots? And not start wicking system until flower I guess?

I have this idea I could do a reservoir and not have to bother with these plants other than check in and make sure there’s nothing crazy going on…

Can I make this process harder to start but easier for end

I’m not Bob but I’m following along to see what the next adventure is. My living soil is still cooking and I might try something different with that. Different vessel.

@PharmerBob ive never tried autopots. Sounds like a viable idea though. Hanging in to see what all is said.

Yea I’m thinking I’ll try a few plastic and a few cloth to see how they react all same auto seeds

Chosen have been NYSD by Advanced seeds

Sorry brother. Not familiar with auto pots and no living soil yet for me. :man_facepalming:
Although I don’t see why it couldn’t work if the watering was dialled in.

I started with clothe 3 gallon pots but didn’t like the run off throught the sides so my plastic bottom feeders work good can flush and check run off in my plates underneath

You have to water those or let Mother Nature take care of you

I used to manually water- then I got a rain bird irrigation system.

Two sprayers per pot. Ran every morning @ 0600hrs.
I felt this was a game changer for me. Typically when I water the spray is too intense. This way-a little more delicate and less disruption to the top layer.

Are they floaters Bob, did you try the peroxide water to soak in. I have had really good luck with that for seed soak.

I use knf method of nutrient rich solution to soak in.

Science behind it is even the start of life needs nutrients. I use a little veg nutrient solution and dunk them. Last I looked floating with me poking at them.

Knf uses its brv solution, I take same idea and just mix my own sauce

I tossed them in a dark space and left…

Hopefully see some tails here shortly

I’ve been doing living soil for two years and autos for a year now and be glad to help you. 1gal of each= Compost
Worm castings
Peat moss
Black kow manure
Perlite
Kellogg’s organic dirt
I don’t pack the gallon measure cup down when doing this so everything fits in a 5gal fabric pot easily. This is the ratio I mix for my auto’s amendments.
Dr.Earth tomato/herb 1/4 cup
Dr. Earth flower girl 1/4 cup plus 2 extra tbls
Dr. Earth alfalfa meal 1/4 cup
4 teaspoons of kelp meal
1/3 cup of iron
Then I water in another regiment of nutrients every week for the soil and plant

Working well for me at least. Happy growing my friend
