Little advice- 1st time! Almost there?

About ready? First time grower:
First, thanks to all for your participation. I learned so much and couldn’t have done it without this message board. Thanks ILGM! 100% germination for first 7 seeds!

I will post some picks of my gorilla glue auto first plant. I think it should be ready in about a week or so. Stats:
Hit 12 weeks yesterday
4 G pots, 4x2 tent, 3 plants, 2- 1000w LEDs
Lights on 18/6 cycle
Average monthly temp 72, 42rh, 1.6vpd
How close do you think I am to chopping? Last watering was no nutes, and will continue that. They are drinking a lot! Almost a gallon each every other or third day.
Pistils are rather dead (80-90%), trichs are mostly cloudy/milky, just a few amber (<5%)
Buds probably doubled in size in the last week.
Thoughts?

How many weeks in flowering?

Both are indications that she isn’t ready yet. Water consumption will decrease when the flowers are ripe and ready for harvest. Buds will stop putting on weight a couple of weeks before she is ready. Those last couple of weeks are for ripening flower rather than additional growth.

Be sure that you are looking at trichs on flower and not sugar leaves. Those on sugar leaves will darken more quickly than those on flower.

Thanks Midwest! About 9 weeks flowering? Need a new scope to look at trichs, not looking only at leaves though. Gonna keep waiting, like you said I expected the drinking to slow down these last couple days but it has only continued or sped up. You think I cut the nutes too early? (2 days ago)

I cut feeding about a week before harvest. It’s hard for me to tell exactly where you are without close-ups of trichs. You should be close at 9 weeks of flowering.

Ok, last question. Rough time between full cloudy only to 30% amber?

It depends on environment and genetics, but a reasonable guess might be a couple of weeks.

Rarely will you have full cloudy without some clear and some amber. I prefer there to be no clear trichomes or very few, to get that I usually see around 10-20% amber. Every strain is different and every plant and environment are different.
