Can any of you help diagnose what going on with this plant? Not seen any bugs or anything and only happening in this plant so I’m really confused cause I’m doing virtually everything the same… I can pull it out of that blurple light if I need to. @MidwestGuy @dbrn32 @Mr_Wormwood @kellydans
95.7f and 35% rh not very good. The leaves piled up on top of pots not good either. I would get everything cleaned up and try to get your temp down and rh up.
Temp at top of canopy is likely higher than on your floor too. You should be monitoring that at canopy level.
Okay… yea it get hot during day cause it’s in my attic… I have a window unit right outside the attic by it’s not helping the attic itself much… my other plants looking great and I also have a temp/hygrogometer at canopy level the reads just a couple degrees higher but same rh. The room does cool down to around 80 at night and I’m the morning… Would it be better and worth moving them down to my basement? It’s much cooler around 75 but the rh is around 60 even with a dehumidifier and was worried that’s too high for flower. Here’s a pic of my other plant in same tent.
The other plant may be more tolerant to the heat, and you could certainly have other stuff going on too. But I would start there and see if things improve.
I would probably try the basement. I run mine 80f and 60% rh, or try to anyway. Every site is a little different too, could be fine for a bunch of people but not some.
Thank you very much for your opinion. I was planning on moving to the basement after this grow anyway but looks like it might be happening a bit earlier!
Welcome ! my opinion basement much better choice for grow space. If not already run your lights at night an off day light hours.
Well, I will plan on moving it downstairs sooner than later. Try and get it done tonight just need to make sure it will fit first! Thanks for the opinions
It may be cheaper also. You may get night rate.
@LiftedLorax Lot of growers use basement for grow space including myself. If possible frame up maybe a 10x12 space. Put your tent inside room only control temperature and humidity in room and not the whole basement. Happy growing !
Absolutely save a few pennies you’re not pulling on peak hours.
Yes this was actually my plan after this grow was creating a grow room in the basement, however was hoping to finish out this grow first. For now I will just move the tent down there to keep it cool. And yes I do run my lights at night! That’s something I’ve done since day one and has always helped me out!
My basement is currently I fished but has framing to put up some drywall or something very easily. I’ll post some pics tonight of where I’m planning on putting it and if I get my tent down there! But I’m hoping to create a pretty good grow area for veg than a side for flower.
@dbrn32 @kellydans just got it moved down to the basement! It’s been really wet outside the past couple days so it’s a bit more humid than usual but hopefully he light will dry it up a bit in the tent and I also moved my dehumidifier to just outside my tent. Going to give it the day to adjust and check the rh and temp when I check my plants at lights on tonight!
Not sure how big of dehumidifier you have, but my 70 pint is capable of taking our basement from 70% to 50% within a few days in most cases. Lots of stuff could swing that either way though.
Heck yeah ! I think you made a step in a positive direction , continuing to do a little tweaking you will get it the way you want it. Good luck my friend thanks for the tag.
@dbrn32 @beardless @Mr_Wormwood @kellydans This is from when I turned lights on last night. So giving it the day it had adjusted and seems to be much better conditions than the attic as the rh was 56 and temps around 75. Planning on checking again tonight and seeing if it’s about the same.
Here are some pics of the plants out of the tent. On the second plant, there’s a lot of dying/mostly dead branches as you’ll see in the photo. Do I just let them be or take them off so it’s not wasted energy? I don’t want to stress the plant any more than I need to.
Your temperature and humidity is fine. I would remove the dead stuff.
Alright! I’ll plan on cleaning it up some more at lights on tonight!
That is a tough one for me, I would follow up by checking pH run off or slurry test. And make adjustments accordingly shoot for The Sweet Spot. Also at the same time check your ppm. If you have your environment under control temperature an humidity also your is PH good. PPM within range. Watch the new growth. just my thoughts good luck
