Hey @Tinymight_Autoflowerer I’d check your humidity levels during veg. At 75F and 45% your drying your girls out. Even in flower you would need to boost humidity to around 60% given a temp of 75F. For veg you should be around 65% at 75F.
Check this VPD chart to calculate your metrics.
I don’t know how realistic that chart is for most home growers. Additionally, setting humidity near 60% in flower could lead to some pretty gnarly mold. Most books say to keep humidity at 50% or lower in flower. Actually, I think ILGM says that, in the case of AK-47 at least, to keep the humidity lower during flower.
Could try upping the humidity a little (today is watering day!), but they are both pretty solidly into flower now, where books and whatever indicate 50% or lower humidity (sometimes they say 35% for late flower!). There is no way I could drop the temperature in the tent, but humidity I can sometimes increase (but also not drop very well). During the summer, it is a struggle to keep it under 85 when it’s hot outside. I don’t have a/c.
Anyway, despite all these challenges, I’ve been growing plants for more than two years, and they’ve always been useable. If they were outdoors, nature would not be able to stick to this chart around here.
I here you on trying to keep temps done in summer. I’ve given up after April around here. I just finished my grow season with 2 mothers and five clones that followed.
I kept busy trying to keep my grow within that sweet spot. For me it’s a soft target. I try to adjust and move on. I do try and keep the humidity on the low side after flower starts.
Lots of outside air and a strong oscillation fan coupled with defoliation at the right time. I use some beneficial microbes, I’m all hydroponic, a healthy root zone and clean environment helps.
With us approaching 90 I am worrying about heat, I’m flower but lamp is reaching 90. I have fan in and out, my lamps are starting to show 90, I do have a temp regulator on my lamp but if it is 85 outside the lamp would never come on.
Will this cook my plants? Do I need to bring it to a cooler room?
Wondering the same thing once we hit 90 it stays 90, but I know outside growers who plant in spring and harvest in august with no problems.
