I use a full spectrum 760 watt led light 4x4 tent 4 plants should the light be at 75percent in veg stage or keep it at full strength i have no meter
There is a smartphone app called “Photone”
If you want to get the light just right.
Nobody can really say exactly where you need to be. Too many variables.
You can watch the plants and if they stretch too much you need more light. If they stay very short and the nodes are very close then less light.

That 760w light should be plenty for a 4x4. Most lights have a map that has intensity at various heights to the canopy.
Most call for less watts during veg then turned up for flower.
Or you can adjust distance from canopy for intensity.
If you check your manufacturer/model you may find a light map on the internet.
75%is plenty in veg.
300 watts for veg is more than enough 50%max
Imo , 50% should be max in veg, some cases you don’t never need to max out your light,
