So i run a HLG 260w XL unit in my 4x2 and all 3 of my plants have seeds for whatever reason I’m not sure if they are riddled with seeds but can confirm I’ve found at least 1 seed per plant with that being said I’m curious on if having my light at full intensity throughout flower can cause a plant to hermie side note all 3 plants are fem photos from ilgm 1 was a clone other 2 from seed I’m on week 10 of flower which is long for at least 2 of the 3 strains 1 is a sativa dominant and the other 2 are high indica dominant but again all on week 10 ill be chopping in a few days as they where just watered a couple days ago @Sincitytoker @Myfriendis410 @Nicky

Stress in general can cause hermie. Too much light is a type of stress. Did you have any signs of light stress (drooping leaves, ‘3D’ leaves, etc)? Usually the plant will communicate with you and you can address the issue early.

No I never saw any signs of stress in general this run in all honestly has been perfect surprisingly haha i pay very close attention to my girls no over watering no light leaks nothing only thing that could have done it was i did have a few high PPM feedings but there never even showed sign of nute burn

Genetics issue I’m assuming then.
I ran a hlg 320xl in my 4x2 and had countless grows not a single seed.

They are all from ILGM lol if that makes a difference haha I just started to explore with other genetics/breeders out there so I have only grom ILGM beans so far

Step inside your tent, zip it up, and wait until your eyes adjust (7min I think)
Your probably have a small light leak somewhere or a power bar with a glow on it or something

Yeah ill have to double check before the next round goes into that tent I guess when I set everything up originally that’s what I did and the tent was good hopefully that hasn’t changed but will defiantly check again

Yeah a minor light leak can make that happen and it’s the easiest thing to check.

Do light leaks affect flowering autoflowers?
I’m not a 100% sure but I want to say no due to autos not needing a different light cycle to flower as to where photos do autos can run on 24h of light as photos have to have a solid 12h dark period during flower

Not nearly as much if at all. It is ideal to give your autos 4hr min of darkness though.
Generally doesn’t effect them though, genetic quality and degree of light leak would be a factor but doubtful to herm would just affect growth rate

Flowering too long will cause hermaphrodites as well.

Yeah that was my first thought and figured that was the culprit but I haven’t seen a whole lot of cloudy or amber till just a couple days ago pistils have been amber for a while but not trics unless I wasn’t getting a good enough look but I know what I’m looking for I also use 2 different jewelers loupe im gonna have to pay better attention from here on out I gues haha I just hope they aren’t flooded with beans I can take a few but 100s is a different story especially with how frosty they turned out id be devastated lol
Sometimes trichomes fail to go cloudy/amber. There are growers on this forum who have reported it.
Personally I go more by the overall appearance of plant and flower.
The thing is, any hybridized cannabis strain is going to be prone to hermaphrodite. The most robust plants are from regular seeds in general. And once one does it they all have seeds. You can likely salvage some good smoke but once seeded all THC production basically stops.

I noticed on my first run that my extension cord and my power surge in my tent have a light on.
It’s big enough to see clearly in the dark and gives some light for sure…
But I’m wondering if that would effect an auto?
I had a couple of buds that had a seed or two and couldn’t figure out why I had a few seeds.
Don’tknow if that was the issue but I covered the light up with tape and had no issue on my last run.

So I trimmed up the blueberry tonight a ton of larf and found a bunch of seeds as well not to happy also had to get rid of my Chemdog due to mold almost positive my lsd i have left to trim for tomorrow is gonna have seeds also definitely bummed about it but it is what it is smoking a jay of the blueberry now and nice clean white ash great taste besides not having a cure yet lol and im beyond stoned haha but obviously I don’t wanna have to smoke a half lb of seeded buds so what can I do with this to get the most I was thinking bubble bags some type of cold water hash but have never done any of it before besides having a rosin press and I can squash lol

Well there is a bunch of different types of hash or edibles.the simplest way to make hash is with a trim bin,you can freeze and run through your trim box.
You can make bubble hash with bubble bags.
Those are both cheaper alternatives.
And then you can purchase a few cheap products you need to make some bho.
There are so many alternatives.
Do you have anything in mind.
If you have a Rodin press well shoot there you go.
Rosin is great and you can always decarb the rosin and make edibles.

Idk how pressing seeded weed would make for good rosin wouldn’t it taste off or shitty

I don’t think seedy weed will make the bud taste any different but I would imagine the bud will not be as potent with the seeds in there as it would be with no seeds.

You wouldn’t press the seeded weed. You would press the hash you got from it.
I notice a hint of despair and frustration in your text. Let it go. This stuff is why you are here. You discovered this run it is alot harder then just dirt seeds nutes and light. Need to look at how your grew and make adjustments.
Making bubble hash isn’t as easy as it looks either. I even bought a washing machine to do it with. For best results of bubble hash you need everything to be kept to near freezing. Including the water. Dry ice hash is alot simpler. And great results plus super cheap.
Make sure you clean every inch inside your tent with peroxide. Wipe every service, if you found mold, that mold sporulated and the spores are stuck to everything inside your grow tent.
This is true. The answer is a stress free life.
My BB auto was seeded none of them matured or formed fully but the weed is bomb as hell. Give your harvest a week or two of curing to bring out flavor smoothness and smell. The grow isn’t over yet.
Above is dry ice hash proceeds from one plant. Then I took the plant material and turned it into 3 cups of extremely potent cooking oil.
