Sounds like it’s kinda geared toward tap even though 321 is essentially for both. My tap is 340 ppm 9.6 out the spout so I’m def not using that. Let’s also remember that they also made a line for tap and RO separately…again I’m no scientist but there’s gotta be a reason they did that. Kinda like the bag also recommending 4 grams of part A instead of 3.6. All of this is still a work in progress for me to try to understand so I’m just tryna read my girls instead of the numbers.
I use RO and Jacks. It hits right at 5.7 every time. I dont even check anymore. I also dont add anything else. Just 1/2 tsp Part A, 1/4 tsp Epsom, 1/2 tsp Part B. In Coco and its working fine.
Photos or autos growmie I would kill to be able to add and not have to look. It def holds pH well imo.
Photo period. I get much more consistent results from Photos. Autos grow big or small and I cant predict it.
Hmm. I use ro and jacks. Been mixing by the gallon and always comes out 7ish takes about 1.5 ml of ph down to get 5.8. Maybe has to do with my ro being derived from my well water which has very high ppm( 600 +) to start with and loaded with iron bacteria.
I feel it. I got a 30 in wide auto in a 2x3 rn . Went from super tight super small to
I dont think this indica I have beside it will get that big at least I hope not rn
I could see that. I noticed that their nutrient chart calls for a pretty high EC in veg and even in flower. At full strength my EC is 1.7 with the RO when they’re calling for like 2.4. If I used my tap water I’d be there, so its weird. Idk if I should try a run with tap or not. I’ve contemplated it but when u have limited space and limited flower is the experiment really worth it ? Lolol.
My RO checks in at 9-12 ppm before I add anything. Its just an inexpensive whirlpool RO system I got from Lowes 15 years ago.
The bottom line for me tho is what do the plants tell me. So far they look very happy so I cant complain.
If I mix Jacks and the Armor si. Mine come in a 5.8 - 5.9 every time. I never have to do any thig with it. And that is with RO. Mine shows 13ppm. I use the Tribus every feeding with seedlings. Then on the first feed cyle. I do a feed for 6 days and water with cal mag in it for the water days. Once I see the ppms for my run off raise over 1300ppm. I start adjusting my feed schedule till I can keep it under there. My normal feed is in the 900ppm or less range.
Basically. If I am using GH or Jacks. I know I have every thing dialed in to my liking if I have my ph at about a .2 difference of what I ph at. If I am off by much. I know some thing needs adjusted a touch.
Can add api stress coat to the water to help with metals. Its like 2.5 ml per 5 gallons of water and not real expensive at the fish stores. Anything for chloring cloramine and heavy metals. Works great and my tap water even holds a good ph with dropping or spiking using it
Anyone here ever use Jack’s with high TDS tap? I wanna clean out the garage and I have about 6 gallons of coco left. Contemplating if ima use Jack’s or GH in 3 gal fabric pots. If I go GH def wanna use RO and my DWCs are taking most of that water rn. Idk if I can get by with tap that’s 340ppm to start with Jack’s. If not I’ll just plan the water thing accordingly. I even thought about knocking the salts down by adding some RO just to conserve
U can use stress coat in tap water removes most metals and chlorine and chloramine. Seems to work well for me so far im about 7 waters in with it. I jave api stress coat takes 2.5ml per 5 gals of water
My tap runs 230 ish.
Is there a reduction in your ppm after you do this or an increase if you’ve noticed? I saw the post before but wasnt fully tracking.
And you’re running at full strength out the gate? No issues? If I could use tap water that would be life but man my first grow I had so much build up on the outside of my pots I was like theres no way this water can be good for em ya know?
Last grow I fed/water/fed shortly after transplant to harvest at full strength. This grow I’m going to feed every water and watch her. Tap was 230 ish TDs and ph 7.3ish after Jack’s it went right to 6.5 Ph so I never had to adjust with Jack’s and never had to flush.
That’s a good sign. I’m not too too worried about the pH but def gonna need to watch my ppm with this hard water.
My TDS runoff at feeding adv 1200 ish.
Which is right in range for the Jack’s feed schedule! Good to hear you’re not running into lockout etc. I’m running autos so I imagine theres gonna be slight differences. For ex. I’m doing a creme de la chem in water, my first grow I bumped the nutes up high and ran into what I now know was some form of lockout. Rn I’m running at 33% with a girl 31 days old and I’m like oh yeah. This what we posed to look like. So in tap I imagine nutes will be dialed down a little.
Dialed down, I do t think so. I’m actually going to increase feed this grow. Last girl never even blinked at full strength every other water so I’m going to feed at all waters and just watch close and see her reaction.
