Let the 2019-2020 grow season begin

Not really. I just used it for the first time tonight and at half a teaspoon per gallon it only raised my ppm’s from 326 to 365

I’ll just lay low for a while with the recharge. I did not give them that much water. Looking to trans plant Tuesday so there will be more soil to help take up the mistake.

@PurpNGold74 I think I read that when you prep your pots for a transplant you do it a couple days early. At that time you moisten the new pot to let it stabilize. If you are going from a 1-gallon pot to a 5-gallon pot what is your procedure?

@PurpNGold74 any help on transplanting and moisture in pot before the deed is done.

Plants grew another inch today. At this rate I see super cropping in their future.

My bad man. Notifs be buzzing.

Say u are going from 1 galls to 5 galls… i like to:

  1. Set soil in big pot about halfway
  2. Put little pot in big pot
  3. Fill in soil around little pot (creates a hole where the little pot is sitting, after u move it.
  4. This is where i prefer to wet the big pots soil. Not necessary. But it helps. Dont DRENCH IT. Just enough to thoroughly wet it. Then i pause the transplant for 24-36 hours.
  5. Remove rootball from little pot, place into big pot.
  6. Cover with more soil and lightly water in. LIGHTLY. The other soil will still be damp. I only water then to pack the dirt in

Awesome! Thanks for the tutorial. I have done it that way but not wetted the new pot prior to planting. I like the though of getting the soil a little wet first.

Definitely not a mandatory step. Probably not the smartest neither. That soil will sot wet for a while (depending on ur environment $

Used @PurpNGold74 method to transplant tonight. Moistened their forever homes with 5-cups of nutes and water yesterday and let it sit overnight. When I pulled the pot I used for the mold the soil had slight moisture all the way around. Gave the girls some nutes with recharge so I knew the soil was moist I. Their 1-gallon pots. Glad I did they were still pretty dry, so far it looks like I have the watering side down this time around…but it’s still early. Fed them a little after the transplant around the transition between their old and new soil in a effort to keep them happy. I’ll see how they look tomorrow.
