Let the 2019-2020 grow season begin

My last grow must of had that problem. But I sure didn’t have a problem with the results. I may have had that problem and didn’t know. Thank you very much! I’m gonna keep an eye :eye: on that. :sunglasses::v::call_me_hand:

@Mote @imSICKkid When using Jack’s what product do you use to set you pH prior to watering.

I just use Bloom City PH up. Was using general hydroponics before but both work well.

I need a little help from the experts. I thought I had this diagnosed but obviously I didn’t it is starting to show on other leaves now. Initially I thought it may be calcium. Now I think it may be mag. Any guidance is appreciated. Ignore the white patch on the leaf that is from transplanting. @GreenJewels @Killadruid @dbrn32 @Dbpooper @MattyBear @blackthumbbetty

Ima trying but one of my seeds decided to spew milky goo while soaking. I planted the 3 seeds anyway but I think all 3 are contaminated.

Anyone else ever have this happen to them?

*goo is tight above the seed at the 1 o’clock position.

Could be start of cal mag difficency. Hey @Bubblehead are u using full strength? I’ve found holding back on nutrients can be a problem because they are not getting everything they need.

Thanks @Dman1969 for the link. One of the things I’m wanting to do is get better at diagnosis of deficiencies. :+1:

Never seen that but could be a membrane that dries around the shell of the seed instead of coming form the inside or perhaps something was already dried in the bowl and you hadn’t noticed it.

@Bubblehead I would agree it looks like the start of mag deficiency. Also I agree with @Killadruid as it does seem your leaves are a bit yellow/yellowing which would lean to N deficiency. How’s your slurry test numbers??

Feeding at full strength. Slurry numbers were good 6.5/200. I was going light on liquid when they were in the 1-gallon pots. I prepped the soil prior to transplant with half liter of 100% nutes for each plant. When I checked them this morning they were dry. I’ll feed them again when they wake up. I’m going to add some epsom salt today. Thanks for your help everyone.

I haven’t seen that before. I bet you will be fine after all it’s natural and came from your seeds.

Lil low at 200, remember ideally you wanna be between 300 and 500. I would bump up next feed just a tad and see how she reacts.

Probably just underfed in general. Every time I have successfully diagnosed a magnesium deficiency the leaves look like that have strips between the leaf veins

I fed today at 2100 on the 700 scale. Added some epsom salt so hopefully that helps.

I saw minor discoloration between veins a couple weeks ago. I thought it was N deficiency and treated it. It improved so I was excited, thinking I’m finally getting a better understanding…wrong. They have minor loss of color between veins. I learned today that NOTG has low mag and it shows occasionally.

I don’t believe I’ve seen anyone use that stuff successfully without adding stuff outside of their line. I’m sure its possible, but seems like a lot of unnecessary messing around.
