Led upgrade suggestions

I’m looking for input on LEDs. Right now I’m in a 3by3by6 ft tent with 2 yehense 1500 lights. I’ve done 1 grow and currently in a second. First grow with 5 plants was ok. Good quality but expected better yields. Doing 3 plants now. Anyways I’m currently looking at the optic8 plus or the spectrum king 602. After this round I plan on moving to a bigger space and doing 8 to 10 plants. Any advise on good LEDs. Ty.

For a 3’ x 3’ space, use a Horticulture Lighting Group 260W.

The field has become dominated by the HLG Quantum Board offerings. These lights are not even in the same time zone as the ones you’ve used previously. It is an amazing revelation to run lights that are this good.

Not only do you have an energy saving but it’s quieter and provides better coverage with less issues like light-bleaching. They use no fan and are dimmable for use throughout the grow. Yeah; they are somewhat pricey but I’d submit they pay for themselves in one grow.

Y’all beat me to it. Gotta go with a HLG light kit. It was worth the investment. My 4 girls are in love with my 2 HLG 260xl Rspec. But the XL version would be to big for your tent.

260 xw is the kit designed for 3x3.

Yeah but I’m not staying in the 3by3. Basically moving to an 8by8by8 walk in closet… I have 2 yehense 1500 and a vander 600 that I plan on using for seed and veg. Looking to upgrade to a better quality light for flower. Eventually 2 lights or a motorized track for one.

That’s what I had in my notes, but they no longer list an XW on the website and growerslights doesn’t have them, either…I think it might be discontinued. That’s why I put 260W.

Good observation

Just a quick follow-up on the previous posts between @dbrn32 and I…

It turns out the 260 XW was made specifically just for growerslights by HLG and it has been discontinued. Or in their words, “We aren’t making any more of them at this time.” Which sounds to me like, “If growerslights wants more and places a big enough order, maybe we’ll do more.”

HLG’s recommendations for a 3x3 tent are as follows:
HLG 300
HLG Elite 360
HLG 260 XL

That won’t fit into a 3x3. Must’ve meant standard 260 kit? Still leaves a four pack of 120 or 132 boards too.

As @dbrn32 said a 260xl kit won’t fit in a 3x3 tent. The 260xl has room for 3 288 boards so if you or know someone that can cut part of the aluminum panel, you could fit it in your tent.

Their website says the 260XL is 35 inches long. But yeah, their words of recommendation, not mine. If it were me I would prefer to have a regular 260 in there, which is 25 inches long (and what I’ve been telling people to use).

Yup. A lot of the 3x3 tents are shy of 36" too. Especially under negative pressure.

Not sure if your still around but if you are I ended up getting an sk 402 and here is a pic of my grow. Fruit punch strain in coco

Thanks. I’m pretty happy with the light I ended up getting. And yes it paid for itself.
