LED lights: how are these

Hello ILGM family. In haste I purchased the Phlizon PH-X4, later to find out that it has zero IR. And mainly white/blue light with some red chips pushing only .5w
I am now split between the Platinum Advanced P600 or the KingLED Lm301B see pic attached.

You can see how one week seedling are doing and my 3week clones under the Phlizon

Any suggestions???

@dbrn32 is the light guru here.

We tend to lean towards hlg lights here as the durability and performance is pretty top notch.

What size is that tent?

IR isn’t that important either way. The only time I use it in propegation to warm my medium and help harden the sprouts once they pop. I wouldn’t buy a blurple for that price. Don’t even have to look them up to know they probably have a worse spectrum than your existing light. Oh and my grow lights only use about .5w as well. Since one light runs 250 cranked with 420 diodes and the other has over 500 diodes that I rarely turn above 260.

I’d look into horticulture lighting group personally. Since youd get more light for less money than those options.

True
That’s way too much money for what you’d get
You can literally spend less and get more from hlg lights

How large is your grow space? That is what your light should be sized to. I wouldn’t replace solely based on having ir or not, that isn’t going to make or break your grow. But doesn’t mean you have a great light for your space either.

If you haven’t used it yet I’m sure you can return it to Amazon or for that matter if you have used it you probably can return it and spend the money on something better

Yeah I went that route I had a king returned it was a fire hazard then I tried California light works very hot lights although they do work pretty nice then landed on hlg and I’m very happy would be nice if they came out with some kind of bar style lights @Mr_Wormwood

The specs on the light say it does have IR. Not that it’s very important. My lights have never had IR.

Thanks for the information, very helpful
I have a 4x4 Infinity tent and a small 7x5 closet that I set up.

Unfortunately I already bought the Phlizon, one I can still return, thank goodness.

So is the consensus that LED is not worth the $$ and HLg is the way to go?

You will not go wrong purchasing HLG lighting. Your 4x4 space a good choice would be two
HLG 260 v2 rspec XL lights if you choose to use two lights and have a little flexibility. You have other options with one light . good luck

100% back this up. I have 2 hlg 260s in a 4x4 and another 1 in my other 4x4. Awesome lights!

Make sure you get r spec (allows you to use them for flower)

I have the HLG 600R-SPEC and couldn’t be happier with it. It is dimmable as well.

You might look at bar led lighting to help spread your LEDs out and allow airflow.
Take a look at the HYPHOTONFLUX HPF4000. I’ve been having some luck with them.
