wow, that light looks a bit…, have u ever try another brand?
Congratulations on the new light! Now your cooking
Nice set up and those are some great lights
For my 4x4 I’m getting the hlg 600r after this outdoor grow. From what I was told thst 2 of the 260xl would work great and more adjustment but u have to put them together. I don’t want to deal with that so 600r will be awesome.
IR, while recently being shown to probably give some photosynthetic energy. The wave lengths are so fast… why am I trying to explain this… IR is good for two things, one potentially not good. Since number one is that since it does have such short fast waves, it creates a lot of surface heat. These waves also penetrate. So they are also able to basically toughen up a plant. That’s why outside plants be so tough. They grow up dealing with wavelengths they feel on a cellular level. So I do have a small propegation light with IR in it. For those two reasons. Seeds like a warm medium (I don’t use a mat) and they may aswell get tough fast.
And because they are so short and fast. You need exponentially more light in that wavelength to do good for photosynthetic energy. Opposite of uv.
Point being. IR is mostly a myth
Yes sir. Ordering the 600R tomorrow. Good luck with your grow.
I was split between the 600r and the 650r…ended up with the 650r for the extra 50w… my space is 6x7’.
Cool. My space is a little bigger at approx 6x10. I only want to go with 2 at a time
