I got 5 Northern Light auto flowering plants I had em outside in pots but it’s getting to cold and there no were near ready. I’m gonna bring em nside. The question is if I buy the Mars Hydro 300w LED light will that be OK for me??? On a tight budget found it on ebay for $60
It will do the job mate. I personally havent used the mars but it will be ok for what you need. Two of them would be great but i know what you mean about tight budget. I have a basic as set up mate. A 400w hps light. A normal osilating fan and thats it. And i grow good big buds. Obviously better bigger gear can be even better but to self medicate that light will do you buddy

I would suggest buying two. I know you’re on a budget, but with 5 plants I really think you’ll need 2 for better growth. I personally own 2 of the MarsHydro 300w LEDs. I love them!

@iva I just got an email about CXA/B 3070 lights from KingBrite. Just wondering about them. Are they anything like the CXB3590 COBs? I asked for updated prices on the CXB3590 and lens, reflector, etc. and I’m hoping for a drop since they updated my prices in September. Either way, what’s the word on these CXA/B 3070’s?
they are getting cheaper the 3070 is still a good option if cash is low and if you are looking at a large area you could make a 15 cob cxb3070 running at 1050 over a 8x8 area on only 495w from the wall for the same cost as an 8 cob with 3590s and that would be alot of light, keep it 2 foot off the plants at the start and get as close as you can then used the dimmer to adjust.
There is a new cob coming soon the cxd i think it was, its looking like 15% better just like normal

How do those lights work. Do u gotta buy Balise seperate or what. It just
looked like a single led lite to me online. Referring to the cob cxb3070.
What would be best for a 5’x5’ area? Only 6.5’ tall. Just curious what you think
I would go 8 at 55% (1400ma 400w from wall) or 10 at 33% (1050ma 340w from the wall)
OR if i wasnt a cheap ass 12 at 25% (750ma 300w from wall) this one would do 8x8 too but in a 5x5 you could mount it on the roof and use the dimmer to control the light, no low par areas even cover.
Running at 25% the light will out last most of us it will be an heirloom lol

Mate i have no idea to be honest. So im not the man to answer this but the mars are very popular and you said you can get that for $60. Id go the mars.
But the light you mentioned could be great. I just cant say ive heard about them.

This is what I use in there a little bit cheaper than the Mars and they are compared to the Mars I have had very good luck with it in their customer service is impeccable and I’ve had a email from the manufacture a week ago just to make sure everything was going OK and I bought them in August and September
and my girls love them

I would go with Mars too if thats your price limit.
@Hogmaster yes most of the 300w lights are basically the same unit. What color is the light from them ?
If you can find TopLEDSeller or some thing like that. they have a 300w with more white light and I have found having white light is a big plus for yield, plant shape and penetration in to the canape, I havent done a side by side with same everything but the nugs are more solid and a real pest to grind up.
I have chilies in tents atm that I am growing for seed and the 300w with more white light had more flowers and the chillers are larger with more meat. The mars 300w is more blue red and the chilies look get but they have no meat just a thin wall and a truck load of seeds. These are different color fruit but same type (two scorps and a ghost sept tents) they are going outside in a week or so its spring here.

@Iva Mine actually has quite a bit of white lights in it I would have to take a picture to show you because the picture online is completely different than what I actually have but I completely understand what you’re saying
This review is what sold me it looks pinkish purple but it has a lot of white to look at it in person. Truly the only difference is it doesn’t have a veg button in bloom button but I’m not completely done with mine yet so I can’t really say I will be spending like $1000 on my next light which is going to be a top shelf As much as I like these I will probably use them in my smaller tent but for my bigger one I want to get the
