Led distance advise needed

Hello guys I am having problems with my grow. I cannot figure out where my problem lies so I’m asking questions as I go. I am looking at my lights and the light order. The vendor says it’s a 2000w LED. I’m suspect it’s really 2000 watts.

So if you were using this light how far away from the top of the plant would you keep it?

Here’s a link to the light

That light is only using about 240 watts actually. They’re gonna need to be fairly close to your canopy. Do yourself and plants a favor and get a better light, I fell for dinky lights like those too… What kind of problems are you having though? Pictures?

If you haven’t had the lights too long I would see about returning them to Amazon and getting some hlg lights order some hlgs once they get their return the Amazons hlgs will be at your door in about 4 or 5 maybe 6 days depending on tent size 260 watts of quality light would be fine for say a 3X3

This pic from Amazon shows you the recommended distances to run the light. Looks like it is a 240w light, and actually has a decent spectrum for a blurple style light. I grew a lot of weed under some of these when they were the only leds available but I recommend upgrading when you can. All that said good luck :+1: if you have more questions feel free to @ me like this @MeEasy I’ll do my best to help or point you to some help

set the lights 2in or 3in above your plants. that should help the plants get better uses of the light

Based on the model number on the name plate I think it is 330W. Check the column headings in the video

Download and use the photone app or the ppfd app. Once you do tag me for further information type @Budz use the drop down. Or just read the info in the apps. Think they cover most of it.

DON’T set the light 2 or 3 inches above the plant… Use the recommended height chart from them that was provided right under your post, and adjust from there by watching is your plant getting “too leggy” (several inches between node spacing) or too compact (like only 1/2" between node spacing)? I grew two girl scout cookie plants under two blurples this time around (BestVA brand) and they came out really nice

See that’s what I thought. I also meant I doubt it was 2000 watts. Thank you

Sorry I see where the image came from. Yeah I saw that, and it says 18 - 24 inches which if it were a 2000w light like it claims I believe that would be right. But these things barley give off any heat at all. I currently ha e them about 12 inches from the top. My last few grows I did the same and I keep getting stretching problems. I do agree I need to buy better lights. I just can’t drop $500 on a good kne at this moment. Wish I could, but I’m stuck with what I have. If I gave them a few hours of full sun outside would that benefit them?

They love the sun but I never like the idea of going in and out with plants because of the damn bugs. I definitely understand not being able to upgrade the lights I used two little 113w blurple lights (say 600w) similar to yours for two years before I was finally able to get better ones, I got pretty good with them I could get a little over a quarter pound per grow under them.
I don’t know the light you have and didn’t want to say you could put them way down on the plants because I didn’t want to be the reason you burned them lol. I still have n use the lights and I can set them like 3-5 inches from the plant and it gets them nice fatt and sugary as long as the plant is okay with the light being close then keep it there

Isn’t that too close? 2 or 3 inches?

As long as it’s not burning the plant it’s okay, I don’t think I’ve gotten 2" myself but I’ve been pretty close. If the leaves start to taco bad I’d back off

Yes that is extremely close for plants. Having lights at 2” to 3” will most likely cause issues.

I have plants grow past the top of my lights and it causes heat and light burn.

You could get a quality light for just under $300 probably closer to 250 with the kit and the discount code
