I agree, you’ll see what differences the tops growing off of different parts of the main meristem will make. Some strains will make fairly even sized tops as long as they all get the same intense amount of light even if the arent growing off of the main “manifold”, or even if all the “manifolds” are not totally “even”. But some strains will show dramatic differences in top development if the are not getting their nutrients “mainlined” through a large even “manifold” of branches.
Here’s a shot of my manifold I took this morning. I should have tied them down harder after each topping, but I was hesitant after I cracked a few stems. Now the mains are growing a little closer to each other than I wanted. But that’s ok, they’re even still and big n strong.
I understand it sure is a learning experience. Iem very blessed to have so many friends here to take the time and help me out as I would for them and you.

Although this is not exactly “main-lining” per say, but I thought you, @garrigan62, would like to see this, and it could give you ideas about how to train and grow your plants into your scrog.
I have my first main line just a week or three away from harvest. one half of my mail line if seven to 10 days more mature than the other side. is that normal? You can see it with ur eye… and even more under the scope.
Should be more even the goal of mainline is to manifold nutrients in essence making for more even growth and nutrient distribution
That is what I thought. I did not notice the difference until half the plant has brown hairs while the other half white. as the brown start to suck back in the other half is turning brown.
Factors such as light distance proximity to fan or fresh air intake (micro climate) wall which reflects light a cracked or split trunk or stem can all factor
