I am in 7 gallon pots. I can really see a difference and see them every day
I didnât know about gold Leaf fertilizer before I saw where you use it.
Good Morning itâs rainy and humid at my house. I checked in on the ladies this morning. I canât believe how much they have shot up since I top dressed with the ED boost.
@MeEasy
I was curious as to what my rain waters PH was after I read someone had rain water that was 8 something. My rain water is 5.9. I also checked the ppm and it is 30. Are there problems with these numbers with ED? (Earth Dust)
@MeEasy @JaneQP
You can use rain water and those numbers shouldnât be an issue. I have heard of problems with the water from certain roofs you might want to research it a little
Like MeEasy said wonât be a problem. I need to get rain barrels but donât have spouts in convenient places.
We have a metal roof. I will google it
Thank you, theyâre almost done. Waiting on amber. Heard itâs better. Lol Harvesting within the week. 4th generation clones. Iâm gonna start 5 or 6 new strains once weâre in our new house within the month. Iâll take clones of those and then run our favorites for yields. Wife is wanting to try all the exciting strains we have. Hopefully, they live up to the hype.
Good Happy Saturday everyone.
Today is flip day. I have a dilemma. I think my lights should be off during the hot humid daytime hours. But I donât want to have to stay up late or get up early to care for my ladies. What are yâallâs light on and off times for night time lights? All suggestions considered.

I donât know if these plants are photos or autos. If they are autos, put them on a 6/2 light schedule. 6 on, 2 off, three cycles per day. That helped me tremendously to handle the heat.
If they are photos, just flip the light schedule. Off during the day, on at night. Set the on/off time to 7PM on, 7 AM off. That would give you time to care for them in the evening.
If youâre not using a timer, I strongly advise it. The mechanical ones work just fine, though I also have digital timers. I find them a bit more of a PITA to set.
Oh, and donât mind me if Iâm a bit garbled today, Iâm super tired/groggy.
I know tired and groggy. I do use a timer and I think 7 to 7 would be awesome!! Thank You for your input.
P.S. they are photos.
Have you read up on the GLR (Gas Lantern Routine)? Lots of good info about it out there⌠people have been using it for a very long time⌠not just with cannabis either.
Here is what I have, I noted I took it from canna-base dot com
@Not2SureYet has this journal and maybe he can provide some insight⌠I was thinking of trying it before I decided to do the outdoor grow.
I do on 6am - 6pm for flower it gets pretty warm and it sucks but I can keep everything darker at night so I deal with it the best I can. I do use some potassium silicate and aloe vera these both help them tolerate the temperature better
What form of aloe do you use.
I run my lights on at night an off daylight hours itâs actually better in the summer an Winter. Adds a little heat in the Winter during the coldest hours and also less heat in the summer during hottest part of the day. You also save a few pennies youâre not on peak hour. Good luck my friend !
Thank You so much. I am so torn as to what to do. I donât think I would have light leak problems if I had lights out during the day. I guess I will decide by this evening. I like the idea of saving the electric bill running them at night.
I ran my lights ON during the night time when I was still working to give me flexibility and to help with temperature management.
Now that I am retired I run the lights during the day for convenience and rely on the A/C unit in the grow room to keep temperatures under control when needed.
That is during flowerâŚin veg I use the 6/2 schedule.
I did lights on at night since we have tiered electricity rates. I found a big piece of black vinyl I was probably going to use for a project about 10 years ago. I put that over the front of the tent and bought some black mesh filters to cover the inlets.
I grow from 7pm to 7am. Because South Texas Coastline is pure Hell for growing during the day. Plus it costs more during prime time peak hours. We are charged $0.20 per kilowatt.
This is the one I use but any will work as long as itâs 200x and has no perfume etc. I used to get it from kisorganics but itâs more expensive for the same thing
