Late Summer Start Journal

Just started an outdoor Northern Lights Autoflower! Really hoping she’ll be able to finish before it gets too cold :crossed_fingers:

Im located in Coastal Virginia and decided to document the journey in here! She broke soil on August 8th.

Heres some current pics at 17 days above soil:

I plan on topping as soon as the fifth node fills out a little more! Hoping to even out the canopy and possibly induce an early flower through a little stress!

This seed is actually a leftover from a grow I did two years ago! And those plants had no problem at all with low and high stress training, so the early flowering from training probably wont happen…

Currently 22 days above soil!
Topped her last night and removed the growth from the lowest node.

Also ive noticed some White Powdery Mildew on a few of the leaves and what seems to be spider mite damage on one of the lower leaves.

I plan on treating the WPM with 1:3 ratio of 3% H2O2 and Water, and treating the spider mites with PureCrop 1.

I may even start a regiment of Monterey B.T., The caterpillars were pretty bad the past two years so maybe I can get ahead of them this year!

Shes looking pretty good after her topping, and no sign of slowed growth!

Some of the new growth leaves are looking a little funky though, and some of the leaf tips have began to curl…. I haven’t watered in 5 days so that could be the culprit! The pot hasn’t felt light enough to water until today, so we’ll see how it goes!

I was informed by Caligirl you can mix the Purecrop 1 and the BT in same sprayer for double whamy

@Bentstick Oh wow, thanks for the tip!
I’ll have to look into that, i’ve never heard of that being done.

Shes still steadily growing and getting bigger each day!

The new growth leaves do have some deformations though, I’m just gonna keep on the same routine and see if it sorts itself out and keeps on growing well!

Shes still growing strong and currently on Week 11.

Flowering started about a week ago. Ive been using Terpinator in my feeding schedule for the past 2 weeks.

Still looking good at 6.5 weeks above soil!

Having to water a 1/2 gallon about every other day it seems. Just defoliating a little as needed now!

Forgot to cover the plant before the rain today😬
Not sure if it was the weight of the rain or a squirrel, but one of my branches broke and was just hanging on by a thread! All I had on hand was some paper tape and rubber garden tie… Fingers crossed that its enough to save the branch:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

The snapped side branch seemed to heal right up, no signs of slowed growth😁 Still a little too nervous to take off the rubber garden wire though!

A little over 8 weeks since sprouting for the Northern Light Auto, still going good. Pretty sure she’ll finish before it gets too cold😁

The Northern Lights auto is still goin good at a little over 10 weeks! The Terpinator seems to really be boosting the trichome production!

Today marks 12 weeks since sprouting! Just did my last flush last night and I plan to harvest in about 2 weeks😁

Northern Lights Auto still going strong! Trichomes are currently about 90% cloudy with pretty much no amber yet. Found two small mold spots last night, fingers crossed for no more:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers: If any more mold pops up within the next couple days ill probably go ahead and harvest this weekend!
