Bottom 3rd of the 7gal pot is pure kind soil, the rest is a mix of FFOF + Light Warrior.
I have been watering with dechlorinated tap pH’d down to 6.4 - 6.8 range. I have added nothing else other than once a week I add 1.5tbsp of Epsom Salt to 1 gallon and water with that.
Plants were all kicking ass and looking good up until 10 or so days ago when the White Widow started showing rust/yellow on lower leaves and have slowly worked their way up.
What are you using to adjust the pH down ?
What method are you using to remove chlorine? Are you positive it’s not chloramine?
I think kind soil recommends carbon filtered water…
I am using Citric Acid crystals mixed with RO water in a squeeze bottle. I then use the squeeze bottle to treat water in a 5gallon bucket.
To dechlorinate, I have aquarium airstones that go into the 5gallon buckets and the water is left to aerate/dechlorinate for 24+ hrs
edit: Kind soil recommends not using RO water, but to use plain tap (dechlorinated) and if pH adjustment is needed to use Citric Acid crystals.
That all sounds correct, and according to their protocol. Except maybe the epsom salt. You might want to hold back on that. Too much magnesium can lock things out… like calcium
You can apply cal mag foliar.
Let’s see what Mattybear or others might suggest.
@Drinkslinger
If that is the case, can I use espom salts as a foliar spray? I don’t own any CalMag. I have Epsom Salts and Liquid Karma
Epsom is magnesium and sulphur. No calcium. I think the epsom salt addition may be the issue. Just enough to knock things out of whack.
Liquid karma is, I think kelp and guano based with a wetting agent and some humid acid. It’s not what you need.
Maybe the Epsom Salts did knock things out of whack. I just read another site that says if one is too high, the other depletes? No more Epsom thats for sure.
I wouldn’t spray your indoor plants, especially that far into flower. @Drinkslinger has said what I would have suggested. I haven’t used Kind soil tho, but I did use the ApotForpot system with decent results. If it’s only happened on the lower leaves, they could be naturally dying off as well
