I think Wednesdays will be good for my weekly updates. So just to reset I am using Kind Soil and FF Coco Loco. This will be a water only grow with no nutes. I put a 1/4 cup of Kind Soil in the bottom of the cups and the rest with the Coco Loco. I put 2oz of water in the cups when I put the seeds in the cups which was 8 days ago. It has been 6 days since the first seed sprouted. And 5 days since the other 3 came up. I have not given them any water until today. The soil was pretty much dry. I gave them another 2oz. So far they are looking good. I have been taking the tops off the cups and blowing a fan on them for 20-30 minutes twice a day. The roots have gotten down to the Kind Soil. They are pretty much on auto pilot now getting bigger every day.

I have a general question here. It has been 7 and 8 days since my plants broke ground. They are growing a lot faster than I thought they would. I had cups as domes on top of them. I switched to 2 liter bottles and the leaves are getting to wide and rubbing on the edge of the bottles. How soon is it safe to remove the domes? They are already over the top of the cup and hanging over the sides of cups. Thanks for your advice. I am a first time grower and of course I am obsessing over what to do. I will learn with all your help. I think they are loving the Kind Soil. Since the roots hit that they have exploded.

@Nicky I have a question for you too. I have seen you reference the online calculator to convert lux to PPFD. All of the posts I have seen have been with burples. What should I select from the drop down for a HLG 100 V2? Thanks in advance. I look forward to more discussions on lights at some point.

I’d personally give them some more time. I just transplanted 4 from solo cups a couple weeks back. Wish I would have used clear cups like u did so I could monitor root growth. 3 fell apart 1 did well. They all recovered mind you so it’s totally up to you.

Mine go from being almost rootbound seedlings to forever home.

I will probably wait to move them until the roots are thicker. I am already starting to obsess over them.
I some times start my seeds in their forever pot! So its possible i am jumping the gun! The sooner its done then less to worry about. it will be good how ever you choose to proceed. Its Weed! Lol

They’re looking good! I started mine in peat pellets and planted in their forever pot when the tap root came through the side of the pellet. These pics are day fourteen from dropping seeds in peat pellet.

Looking good. How do you like the Budget LED. I think I am going to order one today. Did you get V2 or V3? Size wise I think our plants are pretty close. I am excited to see how this goes for both of us.

So far the Budget LED has been good, very bright. I got the V2 there was no V3 when I ordered mine. On the dimmer it maxes out at a little past the three quarter mark. Currently have it at 50-60% at 18/6 schedule. Same here excited to see the whole grow and the outcome.

That’s what I do 1 transplant and it’s small and easy to handle, happy growing

@OldTimeRockAndGrow looking good but I do recommend you transplant now, once leafs hit the outside of the pot/cup the roots are big enough to transplant up if you wish to.
I am like @registereduserin the sence that I soak seeds, plant them in jiffy pest pucks and then go into my final pot (for autos)
With so little kind soil and the FF coco loco you will need to feed nutrients, but it’s a good growing medium.
@Bulldognuts just did a grow with coco loco and FFOF, I think it was a 50/50 mix or a 75/25? What was it again. Anyways he had to feed.
Everyone has to feed to get good buds unless your in the ground outside or a 20 Gallon pot of soil

The only difference I can see is on the series 3 they use Samsung 301H instead of 301B in the series 2.
