Kettle's 1st proper indoor grow, DWC

What I have done successfully a few times.

I will drain and rinse the buckets or system daily until the plant comes back.

Works

Ok, what do you mean the plants will grow out of it or come back?

Super happy the ph stayed stable at 6-6.1. nutes dropped by 0.2 to .6 ec, water temp 20 'C air temp 23-24’c 65% humidity. really don’t like leaving the room unattended for so long. will be another 5 days next week too, but should be the last one. one of the other autos looks pretty bad, thinking of removing it and having 3 and 3.

So the next mission will be to block any potential light ingress. must have done an alright job cleaning as the ph was swinging up to 7.2 pretty quickly (like 4 hours).

cheers Kettle

decided to cull one of the autos and bring it back to 6, the other design wasn’t working well and I thought I was letting light in. still trying to figure out how I make this work with the two different types…

So I have taken light proofing seriously, will have to do for another week away. looking forwards to replacing the airlines have taped them up, what do you guys use? the system was pretty clean but I cleaned it again, new nutes. I’m leaving with the top up reservoir on this time, I think they drank about 10-15 litres last week. Air temp 73, 23. humidity 60% water temp 66, 19. ec . 9 ph 6.2.

Thanks bud, that room is black usually, but I’m on it, next is insulation, and cooling and I will have to do it well.

Summer is coming… last year we had 2 weeks over 45 (113) and 2 months over 40 (104), with night temperatures around 30 (86)…… but that’s a few months off…

but I do have an idea about an epic outdoor grow at the same time that could be my safety net well have to see though, if plants around here get water they grow huge (super good farming area) just the water…

evaporative cooling… does anyone know if its been used? eg:

, and ducted.

so in summer the humidity also drops and this could help bring it up.

OOOOOh maaaan they sell in 500 feet rolls, ah they are silicone, oh, reasonably priced perfect, yep doesn’t ship to Australia.

but at least I know what I’m now searching for. can probably get direct from china.

my LHS only sells irrigation tube at an inflated price.

fuck man its the middle of the night everyone is asleep, perfect alone time if only for a couple of hours its just me and the dog awake and I just packed weed into a cone less stem. lol

Yes… I use mini swamp coolers in my vegg room to raise humidity…
Right now my outside temps are 112 degrees Fahrenheit and 13% humidity…
So I totally understand…

how do you find it? would you ever use a really big one, like one big enough for a 3 bed room house in a flowering room? I could use it in conjunction with standard aircon or all aircon. but as u know all aircon will use a shitload of power as that room isn’t insulated at all yet. and I don’t think I can get to the walls… (there are some closed cell expanding foam insulation that I could squirt in). and it will dry out very dry air. but I don’t know. would be brutal to loose a whole lot of plants to mould
