What’s up ilgm! So here is a question for you on keeping genetics. How do you keep your favorite plant? Do you just keep cloning your plant over and over or are you keeping a mother alive and taking clones from it? I would have to create a dedicated area to keep mothers alive, seems like a lot of work. So is it worth it to clone the clone or go the mother route?

You could get two clones and reverse one to pollinate the other clone.
All the seeds would be identical

Space, time, the ease of getting another strain.
Its space with us. Our RV isnt big enough for mother plant. Covert state, anything tasty and good is minimum 300.oo plus . So coughing up 20.oo a seed in my status is no brainer, ILGM genetics comes with FREE GROWING forum, and insurance on the seed. Need I say more on the space issue.

Clone mothers and keep pruning them. It’s still not as romantic as it sounds. STS with a pair of clones like @Hashtonbutcher says and get yourself a pile of S1 seeds, store them properly.

I kept a mother plant in the closet for almost 2 years, I would keep cutting clones off of her. You can get a lot of clones off a plant if you let her grow up a little bit.
