Watering in a ring to the outside of the soil helps encourage the roots to search out water and spread.

Tell us about your grow man. What type of soil, nutes, ph of water, ppm, lights, grow tent size, all that good stuff that we all love. Welcome. This is a great place with loads of help.

@Axemanjake23 ok I started around Christmas and really didn’t know a lot , listen to a friend that wasn’t very knowledgeable, lol. but now I know better,
My soil is wrong but it’s too late now, just used potting soil (miracle grow) and yes I know. Starting nutrients this weekend, didn’t know about that until til I got on this site along with Ph and ppm of my water, I am only using distilled water at room temperature and my grow tent is 4x2x5 due to limited space with a Phlizon 1200 watt grow light which I am looking into a quantum board grow light. I do have a small fan in there but buying a little bigger one this weekend. Temp is running about 72 - 73f and RH is averaging 60%.
Was wondering about size of light for a quantum board?
Ok what do I need to change?

You are using the same size tent as I am. I have 2 marshyrdo ts1000s in my tent for flower. I run them about 75% power. Alot of other growers like the HLG but they cost a little more and you have to build your self or spider farms. If using a qb light go with 30watts per sq ft. 8sq ft in a 2x4 so at least 240 watt qb. If using blurples say 50 watt per sq ft.
You are right about the MG soil. And you will probably burn your plants if you start feeding because of the time released nutes im MG. Did you happen to buy the organic MG? Cause it is a little better. I grew my first grow in MG too. And it did okay. Good luck

It is not too late. You can repot all of those into some FF soil and they will be fine. Some MG soil will carry over but will dissipate pretty quickly into the FF soil. Would recommend using Happy Frog because of it.

My third effort at growing using Baked Sweets. They’re about 20 days into flower so I’m wondering if they look like they should at this point. The girlies are in a 3X3 Gorilla tent fed by Roots Organic in 7 gallon pots. The lighting was a cheap burple light during veg and bought the HLG 300 3K and installed it at the beginning of flower. No nutes and using Great value (Walmart) spring water, supposedly at 7ph. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Do you use the Marshydro for the whole grow or just for flowering and do you ever have them at 100%

I think they are looking great, I like the light but it’s a little out of my price range, I’m going for the Marshydro ts 1000, 2 of them. That should do fine in my small tent.
I was using the Bestva 1500W LED from Amazon until the HLG change. Thanks!

Yes the entire grow I use the ts1000s. The closer to flower the more I have been turning my lights up. I got a little crank happy and burnt some GSC autos but not bad. I am at about 90% now and have 2 in full flower and 1 in veg. The one in veg is an Alaskan Purple fem not auto and it takes the light just fine even on the crank day. And I had a White Widow fem before this grow could take em at 100% but did fox tail some. Btw that WW grow had the most dense nugs I have ever smoked.

Cool, thanks for the info, I’m shooting for it in February sometime. Nice buds. I have two poison 1200w (actual watts 305) they are doing good but I think I can do better.
