Ask away. It is encouraged. With the leaps and bounds occuring with cannabis growing knowledge what was way cool last year might now be outdated. Plus questions make us think. Makes us interract. Builds confidence in members. Grows our community amd trust levels. It helps me a ton. Some unexpected answers turn out to be a new standard…grin
@DrWoo, at you leisure, do you mind taking a look at these 3 day old ladies. Gorilla glue really trying to hand in here. I’m keeping it in the mid to upper 70’s. Help…about 77 just days left😂
Did you perhaps forget to add the pics?
The craizest (ha) thing happened, my power went out and I lost Internet connection just got it back😖.
The coco looks Soooo dry but feeling a little under the topsoil, still moist so didn’t water for a second day. I Did raise the light an inch.
They look great. If you’re in straight coco you need to water with nutes every day. Just carefully, in a ring an inch or two from the stem. I sneak the turkey baster for this. Depending on who’s nutes your using you prob should go at half strength. If you’re in a soil/coco mix it’s just water (no nutes) when it needs it.
If using tap water or adding nutes you need to get the ph right. If you’re only adding distilled or RO no ph necessary.
Remind me - what medium and nute brand.
Turkey Baster(Ha)… Quick joke- my wife said” last year you barely grew tomatoes, now this?”
I have viagra coconut coir. And about 20/25% perlite.
Still no water ph tester yet(been looking in storefronts ) but I do have one for the soil😖.
I will water in a circle around then girls
In coco you’re going to need to feed and water every day. Coco has zero nutrients and won’t hold moisture for long. Get that PH pen soonest, and PH adjust.
Got pen Sunday. Made new batch and nute/water mix is 6.7 I believe one girl is ready for more. I mistakenly over humidified them then mistakenly had light too hot…. They look well again color back in leaves and all stretching straight out. Wheew, that was close.
If you are in straight coco with perlite 6.7 is almost a point out of range.
I regularly feed at 5.8 - 5.9.
I am going to let that one slide. The spell checker / auto fill has a mind of its own. I assume it is
Viagrow Coco.
What fertilizer are you using?
Ha yes viagrow. Thanks for getting me on track with ph.
Help…. Just noticed 2 of my plants leaves are curling from the side. I just raised the lamp to 18-24 inches and increased the power by 15 %. This has JUST started to happening. I’ve added a humidifier (50-60%) and temp is 26-28 degrees
I can’t see the leaf twist in the pics. The plants look good to me. Temp/RH are in the zone.
Did you adjust the fan(s) when you moved the light? Sometimes fan wind pressure causes leaves to curl, twist, or burn.
Is the leaf twist towards to light, like they’re searching for more? You may need to bump the dimmer up.
Are you watering to run-off every day? Your plants are hitting the size where the roots are spreading wildly and water uptake goes way up.
Your bottom leaves in contact with the soil are going to discolor, burn, twist, and look scary. All normal. Just pinch them off when it happens.
Yes I moved the light up. I think I can find the sweet spot. I’ve just started with a liter a plant. I will up it 50% I’m afraid of over watering, Thank You.
You’re in coco. Get over your fear of overwatering. It simply can’t be done in coco.
I just started growing in coco, and I’m watering everyday, coco still pretty wet when i water. I was worried about that as well, but they like it.
Ok I just checked my runoff after feeding and it is really low 5.4
Taking earlier advice I pH’ed my feeding water to 5.9. My old school ph meter says my soil is 7ph. I though my run off was supposed to increase???. But plants looks good in comparison to first two weeks. Overthinking?
Overthinking. Just maintain your ph going in and the rest will take care of itself.
I’m sure I would have thrown in the towel by now if not for You Doc.
Preciate Ya!
