Ash they all run off your sensor on your phone. They all have the same mathematical formula.
Pick a user interface you enjoy.
Mines called LUX.
I donāt think any of the phone apps are super accurate. There is a thread here that talks about just that. Someone did side by sides with an expensive light meter and wasnāt super accurate. I use it to get an āideaā whatās happeningā¦if I wanted super accurate Iād get what hellraiser hasā¦and thatās not in the budget right now.
I think this is it
The lighting apps are just as accurate as a dedicated lux meter you can buy in Amazon unless Iām mistaken.
Again no lux meter will read par and what Hellraiser has is the gold standard but also out of the budget for most
Thank you all for getting back to me. yall got my back for sure. Iāll finish work and do more studying. in the mean time Iāll download LUX @Nicky
Which one of these @Nicky
Iām going to get the apogee that @Hellraiser has once I become more experienced. This is only my third grow lol
get all of the free ones and see which one you likeā¦lol
I downloaded 3 or 4 and kept 2 and use Photone. I still have the lux light meter pro you show there
Thanks @MaD-VapoR still curious what @Nicky uses, can you post a screenshot please
Iāll download all you recommended @MaD-VapoR still
@Nicky so this is the lux light meter pro app right?
@Nicky Thanks a lot boss i appreciate it
Yes but lux is not a very good measure for one reason and @Hellraiser is using an Apogee Quantum Sensor. No comparison and heās measuring PPF.
So take your readings using a phone app with a grain of salt. It will tell you more and less and may help to even coverage under the canopy but from there itās really up to you and the plants to decide on light levels.
Iāll keep you guys informed after i get off work later
I donāt disagree with any of that Alan =)
And try to inform everyone itās just a better way to judge then height.
so I donwloaded the app where should i place the camera?
over the canopy or where the lights are?
Topped all of them except for the SS still too small. I took off some of the fan leaves off to allow light to leaves that were blocked by them
Canopy level, do a circle around the canopy of each plant and check your average
Thanks @Nicky
got hammered last night so iāll update you guys tonight
