Jeremyg’s Grow Journal

yeah i should hopefully have the time to flush it today! i can definitely keep you updated with ppms, i work for the next few hours then once i get home ill be able to flush!

Ill try my best to be up for ya. How many hours till you can start?

Its currently 12:38 and i get off at 5 so atleast 4-5 hours so if youre not up its all good!

I should be up but if not:

If your ppms are still sky high flush it just make sure to go a lot more water this time than last.

You have your appropriate nutes ready to go?

I know we talked about it a bit before but I have dynagrow grow 7-9-5 and fox farms big bloom, grow big and tiger bloom on hand. Would you recommend I feed with dynagrow or fox farms?

I’ll find that out

Truly thank you so much!

Alright dude from your big bloom and grow big get 800ppm in 4 litres of water using equal parts of both. Mix one well then add the other. (This is under shooting the ppms but its needed right now)

Have that set aside, you’ll use that last if a flush calls. This is not the water you will start the feed with.

Get your 6 litres of plain water ready and firstly read the ppms of it, write down the ppms.

Start your 6 litre watering, read the ppms when the drops from the bottom slow. If ppms are sky high get ready to flush. At this stage im gonna go ahead and say anything above 2k is worth flushing.

6 litres more and read again. Repeat until it is as close to ppms of the water you’re feeding it. Eventually the ppms will stop decreasing so drastically and you’ll know your done.

From there let it drip until it slows to a very slow drop, then feed it the water you mixed up with your nutes.

Patience in this dude, take your time roll a j and be gentle, think of the roots swimming around and getting misplaced, you’re trying to avoid that.

You got it :muscle:

@Dinky

First 6 litre reading! Sorry it took so long!

So I should be aiming for about 800 right? because thats the ppm of the water im feeding currently?

@Dinky

Here are the second results after the next 6 litres!

Im confused how it got up to 7.00 ph, ive been doing about 6.4ph the whole time so ill see if the next half gallon or so i put through gets it back down. ill adjust the next gallon slightly lower than what ive been putting through

@Dinky
Final readings after the last half of a gallon!

I would imagine this is about good for a feed!

I think there must be something going on with my apera possibly now? the ppm went down after feeding a half gallon?

Well done man, the final ppm number is water beig pushed from the bottom as you introduce the new water :wink:

From 2300ppm to 569, I’d call that a result!

The only thing we can do now is wait. On the next feed we’ll feed the same 800 again and see how your run off numbers are.

Not too sure on the PH swing, its a little high but not the end of the world, the main thing is she’s not sitting in a toxic zone anymore :crossed_fingers:

I have one question tho, what the hell is up with your water that STARTS at 800ppm?!

The PH is juuust in the zone to be taking up most of your essentials. As far as im aware you’re out of range for the uptake of manganese and iron but just about in range to take up everything else.

Just to be sure, on your next feed, ppm your water to 800, then ph it after :ok_hand:

Oh no! The ppms of the purified water I was using were at about a baseline of 10 or less ppm when I measured! I just meant the ppms of my feed water with the grow big and big bloom was at 800 and was wondering before if thats what I was trying to match my soil too!

I found it incredibly amazing to be able to watch it in real time as the leaves started to fan out in front of my eyes. I am extremely happy that I was able to get help with this from you so thank you for that! From 2230 to 569 is sweet!

I’m not too sure why the pH was so high. I did make sure to pH after I got the PPM’s in accordance in the feed Gallon! Almost all the water that I was putting through was 6.4 pH. Besides the last half gallon of flush that I used was 6.25 pH. I can take a photo of my journal with all of the readings once I get home from work. They all consisted within 6.4 though. what pH would you recommend to try to get that under control?

Here’s how she was this morning when I awoke!

Look at that man, very cool to see!

That 10 ppm water is perfect, flush all the way with that next time you need to, then top up the ppms with your feed water.

The good folks here have told me that your fox farm trio will need flushed every 4 weeks, or alternatively you can water to decent run off which this grow I think is the better option, lets just keep pushing the gack out.

All you’re doing now is letting it dry out and feed with 800 again to see what the next run off is.

Aim for a ph of 6.5.

Yea we’re trying to match her runoff to that 800ppm, if she gets near the same runoff next feed. Then you’re goig to add 100 more.

We’ll keep going like that (hopefully) until we’re maintaining say 1200.

Once she’s stable you’ve got some choices to make.

You could let her ride and grow some, feed her well and then just flip her to flower, you’ll have a big ass top cola and some smaller nugs, and some popcorn larf. Move on to the next grow and smash it. You would be happy.

OR

  1. You could top her and help release up a little bit of a canopy for more bud sites.
  2. You could transplant to bigger pot and try your hand at bending some.

These 2 things will add a good few weeks onto your grow time but will lead to better yield. Upto you bud

okay! Ill continue to feed and measure until I can maintain a ppm of 1200.

These are extremely hard decisions to make! I really don’t know what I should do in terms of that! I would definitely like to see a harvest soon but also want to see a big healthy yield! Im very conflicted, if you were me in this scenario what would you do?? :joy: sorry to ask you that but Im truly very conflicted

I really feel your pain, im there in the tent with ya growmie :joy:

Have you got more seeds?

What type of harvest would you be happy with?

its a really hard decision :joy:

i do have some phototype godfather og seeds that are about a year old though, i was thinking about picking up some more auto flowers soon! It would be pretty nice to have a bigger yield though.
