Good day all! Things are rockin and rolling over here. New 3x4 AC infinity tent came in. Picked up a used Mars Hydro FC-3000 cheap on the FB marketplace. New exhaust didn’t ship yet though.

My OP girls are doing well. Bumped up the entire jacks ratio a little since the girls are starting their stretch and we’re beginning to lose their nice green. First pistils are just starting to peek out on all the tops. I don’t think they’re going to stretch as much as I had hoped so the net may not be completely full but that’s ok.

Well, last night I opened the tent and had to do a defoliation. I don’t like to do much maintenance during the transition period from veg to flower but these girls are leafy!!! Good news is there are zero signs of male parts anywhere!

I turned on my secondary light as well to help out with par numbers and DLI. This is my new par map and DLI map in the tent. DLI numbers are in parentheses and par numbers are just there. Lol

I like the split level view of above and below the net. I used to use the riser & saucer combo too. But cleaning the saucers and checking runoff got to be a PIA.
I changed to an elevated rack to set the pots on. Then just slide the trays in and out. It made my life simpler. FWIW

I really like that idea! Super simple and it just plain works. I’m pretty darn clumsy and would regularly spill the runoff all over when dumping them so I bought a huge syringe with a hose to suck the water out. I actually use the same syringe to feed them with first. I found that it slows me down from dumping a cup on them repeatedly. Makes me feel like I’m giving the feed more time so soak into the coco so it doesn’t just make channels through it and run out the bottom. https://www.amazon.com/Syringes-Dispensing-Scientific-Watering-Refilling/dp/B0822SDKS9/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=14EHUK4IHO2ZY&keywords=500ml+syringe&qid=1648935225&sprefix=500ml+%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFPOFpCOTBHMENGSkMmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA1MzY4OTgyNzlPTjdBRENINUFFJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0ODAwMzk0QVlHS0JERDRMUFUmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

I got a little antsy last night with the lack of light penetration so I did the 21 day defol 4 day early. The way these 2 have not skipped a beat from previous hair cuts I’m sure them at they didn’t mind this one. 3 hours and a 5 gallon bucket of leaves and sucker branches later. I still have some minor cleanup to do of the lower bud sites that won’t amount to much but they’re pretty good.

Also cut about 8 clones from each that probably won’t survive because I don’t feel like setting up my cloner.

3 days ago I got bored and dropped 9 seeds for my outdoor grow this year. Did my typical 10ml of dechlorinated tap water with 2ml of H2O2. Got 9 for 9 with tails. Was planning on going out to buy some Fox Farms Happy Frog soil to plant them in but I tested positive for COVID this morning so that plan changed. Now I’ve opted for potting in leftover small nursery pots from last year’s peppers and tomatoes filled with soil from my raised bed. Now I’ve got 2 above soil and they’re not even under a light yet. These suckers are moving fast!!! So the lineup this year will be 3 ILGM Bergman’s Gold Leaf, 3 ILGM Super Silver Haze and 3 Panty Shot F2 by Unofficial Good Guys. I grew a Panty Shot F1 last summer and was pretty impressed by the terp profile and potency especially for only getting fed twice. I ordered some ILGM Gelato seeds that should be here on Monday so I’ll drop 3 of those as well. My plan is to plant 6 total. I’ll be keeping 2 gold leaf, 2 ssh and 1 gelato for outside. Hopefully I’ll get at least 1 female from the panty shot as they’re reg seeds. Only the best looking ones will actually make it into their 45 gallon outdoor homes sometime around Mother’s Day.

Well I broke down today at lights on and did some supercropping of the plant on the right side. Only did her tallest branches as I only have about 5 inches of space left above my lights. This is the first successful attempt without breaking a branch so yay me!

@kaptain3d hey brotha, I hope all is well and green in the north. When you have a minute could you point me to some good research videos or articles on cold curing flower? I hear you’re some what of a teacher on the art.

Those are big words my friend. I’m no expert. I tried it a while ago and I loved it… I documented it somewhere in here… I’ll find it and give you a link.
The first I heard of it was from Aficionado’s description of the best cure to bring out the terpenes in the Cherry Noir :cherries:.

I never really researched it though… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thanks brotha! I’m on the mend now. Covid this time round hasn’t been too god awful bad. It’s actually come a a slightly helpful time with starting my outdoor seeds and getting my second tent setup (hopefully today)

Had a minor annoyance while setting up my new tent. I ordered an AC Infinity T6 with controller 67 off of their Amazon store. Once I got the exhaust all set up, I created an account on their app and began setting up the Bluetooth. Well, they didn’t send me the controller 67 as advertised. Instead they sent me the 529. Pretty much the same minus the Bluetooth option. No biggie except Now I want what was advertised and what I paid for. I emailed their support line already and now I’m just waiting for a response. Will I leave them a bad review, absolutely not! To me, this is just an opportunity for them to show me if their customer service matches the quality of their products. I’ll update more after I receive an answer other than their automated response.

My plan today is to transfer my 2 flowering Orange Poison into the 3x3 side of my new tent. This probably won’t be any fun since the plants are run through a trellis net. I have everything set up to hopefully transfer as smooth as possible.

I think I’ll have to start with my circulation fans, unhook the net, attempt to move both plants at 1 time (should be light because I’m waiting till after the move to feed them) then I’ll rehang my lights in the new tent. Or should I move the lights first??? Help!!!

Transferring of the plants went as well as could be expected yesterday. I removed all equipment from the old tent first then transferred plants over. Dang, those pots were still heavy even as dry as they were. Those 2 plants are damn heavy. Can’t wait to see how they stack up.

Boy I have some really amazing friends. Last night one of my buddies who used to be one of the largest local gorilla growers stopped by unannounced last night to deliver some gifts. He delivered me a “full set” of bubble bags (I haven’t checked mesh sizes) and his electric trimmer for me. This trimmer is no joke and it’s big! Essentially the trimmer is a large powered bowl trimmer but it’s huge and I am beyond grateful for the gift and for awesome and thoughtful friends.

Little update. 29 days since light flip about 15 days into flower.

Had to do a pretty major defoliation last night. These girls seem like they could use a haircut every few days and it’s backbreaking trying to get in there with the trellis net. I do believe that the next time I attempt to use one, I will space the plants farther apart and tuck a lot more.

So far, I’m content with the plant on the left. It’s shown great vigor, starting to build some nice frost all the way out to some of the older fan leaves and it’s just plain big. The plant on the right side is a little less impressive. Slower growth and much less branching, way way way less frost too. (It is about a week behind the other one in development) buds are much more spaced out as well.

A little closeup of the frosty plant.

Hey all! I’m going to do an update today after lights on. I have to do another defoliation badly today as well. I’m at a slight loss with how much to take off of them at this stage since I normally don’t have to defol so much. My normal would be to remove all leaves with a stem except the top set or 2 of fans. These girls are so crammed in there that even leaving the top set of fans blocks out a huge amount of light to lower buds. Oh what to do what to do?

These pictures are almost a week old now.
