Should I start jacks quarter strength and work my way up weekly in Coco, as on the JR peters feeding Schedule? Someone told me once they go full strength right away in coco, wondering what others hes are doing Coco/ Jacks?
If adding recharge, should i add that after silica and before Jacks? Or I was thinking making follicular spray of those instead? Ive heard good things about Recharge and figure id give it a shot since it was pretty inexpensive.
I go full strength. I expand compressed coco using Jack’s, and go full strength til harvest
Oh and recharge is added last. It goes silica, Jack’s, Epsom, pH if you need to, then microbes.
I use full strength also from seed to harvest. With coco feed daily for runoff.
PH to 7.0 after adding silica and before adding jacks or your pH is going to keep rising if you do it afterwards. pH ing after silica and before jacks part A will help the chemical reaction needed for jacks to fully work…
I haven’t tried that. I’ve actually not had to pH my Jack’s growing in coco or soil. When I mix silica and Jack’s in distilled, my pH hits about 5.83-5.91. A 5 gallon bucket, in my exp, only goes up about .03 per day on pH and I use it within 3. When I mix with tap water, no silica, just Jack’s, my pH hits 6.43. it drifts up a little quicker at about .05 per day. I’m not trying to say anything against the method tho. Only time I did have to pH was last year, when the city was doing something and after 1 day my pH would go up over a whole point, then the next day it’d be up like 3x as far.
I use gassed off tap water. The tap water here isnt bad. Its only 190 ppms and pH of 7.9 i pour it and let it set for a couple days to let all the chlorine to gas off. When i add silica it brings the pH up to 9.0 so i bring it down to 7.0 then add jacks and whatever else extra i might use that day. Then its down to 4.9 so i then bring it up to where it needs to be. 6.5 for soil…
Ok, gotcha. Ya I dechlorinate, and my tap isn’t too far off from yours. For soil, I just use tap Jack’s alone, no silica. If I need to I’ll throw a gram of Epsom, but I try not to add stuff, since I store it over a few days basically. I add Fish Sh!t to the pail before watering, not the stored bucket. I did, just a few minutes ago, order Tribus original, tho. I’m going to use it on 1 of the 2 Forbidden Fruits I be have going and keep the other on Fish Sh!t to compare.
Thats smart… thats what i like to do to my vegetable plants like tomatoes and Brussel Sprouts, bean, peppers and whatever else… i will always test everything out on them before introducing it to my Cannabis plants.
Ryan using rainwater my EC is 2000 @ full strength. Is that the same as you? Ive seen different figures tossed around here, so I thought Id ask.
I don’t really measure ec, but my ppm’s, using distilled/RO water, after mixing, come out to around 790 or so. Using tap they fall right around 950. I haven’t really measured in a while. If I think the plants can take it, I will mix enough to make 5 gallons in only 3, and dilute it to a little over 1,000. I think I’ve fed with Jack’s all the way up to like 1,200ppm and they still took it.
Mine hits around 1000 ppm @ 500 scale. (3.8, 2.3,1.2)
