I have recently ordered 3 varieties of feminized seeds to try. WHite Widow and Blue Dream sprouted beautifully and are growing well. I am having trouble with Jack Herer and wondering if I have to do anything different for this type of seed. It gets a tail while in the water (or wet paper towels) but once I move them to a small soil pot to sprout (or I have tried cubes also) it does nothing. No leaf sprouts. Anyone else have this problem with Jack Herer?

What are you doing once in starter pot ?
How to you water ?
Are you using any type of dome ?
I suggest putting seed tap root down in soil 1/4-1/2 inch deep and misting soil to keep moist place dome over the top and mist once or twice a day more if soil drys out if water droplets collect on dome your probably have enough moisture in soil also

Maybe the taproot is getting broken. Try putting it in soil before the taproot pops, and keep the soil just moist until you see a sprout. Could be sensitive maybe?
Thanks for reply. Yes, doing all what you asked. I have started hundreds of seeds but never had trouble like Jack Herer. Was wondering if there was a problem with these Jack Herer feminized seeds - so the post.

That could be. I have one Jack Herer seed left. All the others seem like duds. I will try this one directly in soil. That seems to be my last option.

@Froggy Morning! Try germinating in just the soil vs soaking. Plant in a small pot with seed starting soil ,dampen and then place where warm and cover with plastic wrap. I never soak my seeds and I have a very high germination success. I am into as much natural as I can. You are actually doing the same as soaking however when they sprout they are already into the soil and one less handling trauma. Happy growing

When I popped the WW and Jack Herer at the same time I had the opposite issue. All the Jack took off like bandits but I couldn’t keep the WW going. It was my fault for not keeping the WW moist enough and planting it too deep. If it has sprouted a tail, it’s something in the transplant process or its new environment. Seed depth of planting is big. Too deep and it dies underground.
