Droopy seedlings after starting strong, Day 13, 2nd Grow

Hi All,

This is my 2nd grow (1st failed), Im using Jack Herer Autos from ILGM.

This is about Day 13 from planting the seeds after a 24 hr soak. Just 2 days ago they both looked healthy and weren’t droopy. I’ve maybe watered them (with spray bottle) only 3 times over the last week. My first grow, the plants died from stem rot so I made sure not to over water. I’m using tap water, im not sure if that’s a problem at this stage?

Would appreciate some advice as this is my second attempt and neither have gone well thus far! thank you!

  • Strain: Jack Herer (ILGM)
  • Method: APotForPot, Jiffy Pellet for seedlings currently, then 5gal pot
  • PH: Haven’t started this yet, was told not super important at this stage. Have been using tap water.
  • Nutrients: None
  • Indoor: Tent (2x4x5)
  • Lights: ViparSpectra 450W LED (will be getting second light soon), ~30in from seedlings; 24hr light schedule
  • Temps: range: 71-81; currently: 77
  • Humidity: range: 49%-59%; currently: 57%
  • Ventilation system: Yes (basic inline setup)
  • AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier: humidifier
  • Co2: No

Yes, just put a dome over them so they don’t lose moisture quickly.

Happy cake day

@Covertgrower I transplanted them and just wanted to say the roots were completely growing out of the jiffy pellet and I had no idea! thought they had to be bigger to transplant, thanks

I agree with all of the above. Needs a drink!

Sounds like a good plan, I would gently peel that little mesh sock off the outside.

I use those and have had no problems, but I do agree to give this one a great chance.

Didn’t see your suggestion before transplanting them, hopefully they’ll be okay! @kellydans

May I make a suggestion for next time? Putting your peat in those little cups may be why you lost them the first time. You would be better served putting them in something that allows for drainage.

These cups actually have some drainage holes at the bottom, I think that’s enough? @CMichGrower

This is what they look like now (I put a dome on top), hopefully they recover in a few days and I’ll keep you updated!

Looks good, I didn’t know if that contributed to your first failure or not, just trying to rule out a potential issue
